  • Record of Postponements and Pitch Inspections?

When was the last time we had a game called off AT Loftus Road?

I remember a few years back away to Luton and even further going back going up to Huddesfield and the game went ahead after a pitch inspection, also Tranmere away..

There was a pitch inspection in FA Cup 3rd round at HOME to Luton in 2007.. game went ahead though and we drew 2-2.. Shabbaz Baidoo threw the ball in the goal and the ref gave it!

I think that was more due to safety concerns of fans slipping on the snow and ice than the actual pitch itself.Arsenal was called off for that reason.

That night had the potential to be a nightmare for the Police in London and was a godsend for them.Swansea,Cardiff,Millwall,West Ham,Birmingham and Leeds were all due to be playing in London that night.

I remember being in the stadium when a Reading cup game was called off because heavy rain...and that was heavy rain, the pitch was a swimming pool that night!
Looking at the pics on the official site the pitch doesnt look too bad only in certain areas!

I bet kids won't get the free offer again for the re-scheduled match, when there is no heavy rain forecast

there was a qpr v chelsea monday night football game years ago that was rained off. I remember because it took me about 4 hours to set my sat dish up on the house, moving it bit by bit to try and get a grat picture as not wanting to fork out for installation, was up and down the ladder like Danielle Lloyds knic.kers finally got it right got ready for the game and it was blee.ding postponed, nearly smashed the tv up
