Not in my view mate surely you don't weaken your team to just try new players especially in your biggest game of the season; what would be the point in that?? If that was the case why drop him then and not Barton or Niko etc and that formation was not more defensive at all it was more attacking with two up top and Niko playing in the middle of the park that's not defensive at all

I think he was dropped because he was not very good against Bolton regardless of what the fans voted. Expect him to be back on Monday as were away and ball retention will be key

Excellent player at this level, and streets ahead of Carroll.

Deeps his passes are positive and in the main go forwards so on that basis his completion rate is likely to be down on others. I would argue Barton is the best passer in the team we have players who give the ball away way more then he does

Well we missed him by the amount of goals we leaked i reckon, dont actually know what it is he does, but we do seem to do better when hes playing.

Great game by Barton Saturday considering he had little if any support Traore usual in out performance,Kranjkar knackered by 60 mins
but to his credit kept going,Toilet was just that could not be bothered to track back and lazy a waste of space except for one
            very fortunate assist.

We would have stayed up last season if Joey didn't get shipped.

I feel a lot happier when Joey's in the team. He's a grafter, a captain without the armband, and some of his passing has been superb.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Not sure we can say that Carroll would have made an difference to BAE getting caught in possession of Hoillet choosing not to track back but we agree to disagree mate

Shows what fans know however as he was voted man of the match by the fans against Bolton but the manager dropped him the following game for arguably our biggest game of the season which speaks volumes
If Carroll was one of our youth team players he would be getting rave reviews. He's technically very good. Keeps it simple, keeps us ticking. I don't understand what you want him to do?

Joey has been one of best players this season, full of graft, great attitude, real leadership on and off the pitch, imho

                        Agree with absolutely everything here.
He's as important off the pitch as he is on the pitch. If we was to loose him, he would be greatly missed.
                        SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

Don't dislike him and do think he has potential. What would I like him to do well speaking personally I want him to take a game by the scruff of the neck and use the technical ability he has to dictate the play. Its easy passing backwards and sideways its the easy option (its percentage football but you don't win games of football on the half way line going backwards you win them on the edge of the oppositions box passing forwards) how about picking your head up being brave and passing it forwards trying to pick a pass that opens up the opposition defence, getting on the ball driving forwards with it and committing defenders. If he starts doing those things in addition to what he currently does then we have a player on our hands

Question for you he's been with us the best part of what 6 months how many times have you seen him get on the ball and carry it forward???

Your clearly impressed with him which is fair enough but I expect a little bit more from him.

all this stuff about joey has found his level is laughable.....proved his level in the prem for 10 years.....all the attributes others here say he has, plus he helps the whole team keep its shape.also, while joy wouldn't I think claim to be a free kick or corner specialist, he manages to put the ball in the right area...a skill which a certain acclaimed ac Milan player couldn't do once in ten attempts

He would probably be playing in the Spurs first team if he done all that mate. Sounds like you want him to be Steven Gerrard. He's not that kind of player to be running at defences though is he. That's why we have Niko in the team. I just think people are way too harsh on him. He gets on with his job quietly and effectively in my eyes.

No I don't expect Stevie G but it would be nice to see what is effectively a CM try it every now and then, not everytime he's on the ball, but if the ball comes to his feet and there is space in front of him then carry the ball into it make some yards and bring a defender/midfielder out of position as that creates space and opportunities for others; for me getting the ball when you have space and giving it backwards is not effective its negative and one of the reasons we have scored so few goals that we are all moaning about (applies to more then just him)

He in my eyes has the potential to offer more then he is hence why I expect more.

Its no coincidence that his best game for us was Ipswich away second half as we were 3 nil up and he was able to just pick passes and he looked the biz but the key is doing that when its a tight nil nil and the games on a knife edge
