      Joey Barton v Scott Parker

Who would you go for? Personally, I'd go for Joey. Parker is a bit one dimensional for me, and I think his injury record is a lot worse.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Possibly, but we nearly went down the season before that, when he was mainly anonymous, until his performances got so bad he was booed off the pitch.

He has been great this season, and he was excellent for Newcastle the year they spent in the Championship too.

I expect if we go up, he'll be better than he was before. Hope so anyway.

Wasn't the greatest Barton fan after Etihad Gate BUT this season he has been superb, never gone missing always looking for the ball and the killer pass, his attitude has been superb too and was a little unlucky to see Red v Leicester. He has changed my opinion and I want to see him stay now for at least the rest of his contract. He links very well with Carroll and I hope Tom gets another run in the team alongside him.

He in my eyes has the potential to offer more then he is hence why I expect more.

Its no coincidence that his best game for us was Ipswich away second half as we were 3 nil up and he was able to just pick passes and he looked the biz but the key is doing that when its a tight nil nil and the games on a knife edge
Think we will have to agree to disagree mate. We're not all going to have the same view on players. It's the people that actually call him **** that irritates me, it's like do you even understand football. I just don't think he's that sort of player to be running at defenders, he's obviously used to playing possession football at spurs youth team. Tim Sherwood obviously rates him as he was thinking shout brining him back. Against Bolton he actually took on about 3 players resulting in their keeper having to make a save, so he can do it. Maybe Harry's told him to keep passing easy?

Given the way we've played this season, when the obvious team instruction has been to retain possession, I'd say that's absolutely the case.

Carroll did cost us a goal no more then two games ago against Huddersfield, like I said I don't dislike the boy I actually think he's a better player then he is currently showing

As for BAE I think he's a top quality LB and wasted in this division but what he needs to remember is he's in the Champ and on occasions although possession is great its best to put the ball out and get organised and get 11 men back behind the ball. He wants to keep the ball all the time in dangerous situations and got caught out for the goal and nearly got caught out for a second time. Hopefully those were the wake up calls he needs

I don't think he is s hit but also don't think he's playing anywhere near to his potential which he has. I watch him and think he has shackles on which he needs to shake off like you said perhaps he's playing to instructions

I dont remember that huddersfield goal he cost us, but im sure he never gave the ball away in our penalty box. But im not a big fan of bae, omagine what the likes of citehs forward line and suarez etc would do to him playing keepy uppys in our box. Nah, send him back asap if we go up. Thinks hes messi when he really really isnt,
Like the saying goes, vokes or ings cant score from row z.

I'm shocked that someone hasn't been impressed with Barton this year? He's been our most consistent and best player all season, for someone to think otherwise makes me feel you haven't seen many games at all? wouldn't mind betting if you check the MOM votes probably think Joey has won it more than any others?
I think that Joey has impressed most supporters with his attitude and performances this season I for one couldn't find fault with him this season (other than his sending off v Leicester) but he's been outstanding

Joey has done well this season, he's not a Lampard, Gerrard, Iniesta or Xavi but has grafted and we seem to be better with him than without.
He's not a spectacular player and when he's focussed, keeps a clear head, he has something to offer.
Been pretty consistent this year. The red card was a bit harsh IMO.
Not quite sure what everyone expects. This guy's attitude and committment were in question, don't think they are now.
Also not sure why half the posts on this thread are about Carroll? I thought this was a Joey thread
