Residents group suing Ealing Council over Warren Farm

Originally posted by Stanley76 View PostEssentially this appears to be their argument:
"We are losing 61 acres of freely accessible open green space used for school and adult sports, and for informal leisure."
To which Ealing council's respond:
“The development will secure long-term investment in high-quality community sporting facilities that will benefit generations of Ealing residents – and at no cost the tax payer. The development is supported by Sport England and other sport governing bodies, as well as many residents in Norwood Green.”
So I really can't see their problem.
Convenient also how they overlook the fact that the facilities currently are completely dilapidated and in desperate need of repair and investment that would only bring benefit to their "schools, adult sports, and informal leisure."

It is all part of the process. Some residents ALWAYS get upset even if you are building them a supermarket that will give them free food for life some will moan.
If the Council will not pay anything then they will let the people post their complaints, it will go through a process and then progress will happen regardless.
That bunch of mutants probably won't be able to write a complaint between them anyway.

Should make them all do a cross country run on warren farm as I had to do when my school used the place.
These people could also be the ones that are objecting to Brentford new ground. My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.
