    Couldn't agree more mate.

A very underwhelming player... We've moved on, let's keep moving on.

Granero is probably one of the strangest and expensive signings we ever made and is on par with Ned Zelic.

        Tony was ripped off badly.
Good job we never paid 8m quid for him then ain't it?!!!

To be honest, I thought he was useless last season. A few nice touches but on the whole he really didn't impose himself on the game enough and looked pretty lightweight. All that said I would be happy to see him given a second chance, he was rated at Madrid and you could excuse him for struggling to settle in well in the shambles we had out last season. Also who's gonna part with any cash for him after the last 2 seasons that he's had?!!!

He's a good player. Would do well at Southampton for example. If we want to go up and stay up we need quality players like him and Adel in the side. My opinion on the matter.

difficult to put a quality player from real madrid in the mix of players we had. but he is good player that needs quality players near him.. the mistake QPR stuffs made was at the promotiom they acted like a happy father buying all kind of toys even the expensive uneeded ones for the birthday of a spoiled kid.. they were lost. if only they kept the team as it was and adding maximum 4 quality players we wouldnt be relegated.

I think Granero was a stylish player with a fair amount of potential who had the misfortune to be hired by Hughesless into that crazy squad of mercenaries, egomaniacs, nutters and has-beens and then expected to suddenly stup up to the plate and boss the midfield as if he were surrounded by a bunch of Galacticos, not the likes of Park, Bosingwa, Jenas, Mbia, Diakite and Zamora. As has been noted earlier in this thread, he did start to show his potential and ability in the Spurs away game (one of a few examples), linking beautifully with Faurlin, ripping their midfield to shreds with their pinpoint passing, but misfortune saw us lose a winnable game that could've been a springboard, and from there on in clueless Hughlesless just could make it right as we lurched from bad to worse and Granero was a victim of that debacle, not an instigator.

If his confidence wasn't destroyed by that experience, he'd certainly make a decent midfielder at this level, not sure if he'd make the step up to the Premiership though, but possibly.

Changing the subject, is he still in Madrid or has he been sent back to Rangers. He has been injured for most of the season.

I actually really rate him but his performance against Huddersfield away spoke volumes to me. So poor
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

You really rate diakite as well and think Faurlin is the bees knees, in fact is there any Rangers midfielder who was ineffective in the Prem who you don't really rate?

Granero has ability, many others don't. In the right team, with the right players around him, he could be good. Unfortunately, he was in hopeless team with the wring players, so it made him look very mediocre.

There are some PL teams he would probably do well at.

Funny how so many are proper struggling and so many could go down, but none of them want him. Think it might be only you who thinks like that mate.

No desire, slow, weak, not even all that skillful imho - struggling to think of one really memorable pass or set piece. If he hadn't have come from Real Madrid not sure he would have been indulged as long as he was. What annoyed me is he never seemed to understand that in a struggling team in the Prem you really have to graft, he wafted around like he was on Strictly.
