  • If ..............

We don't go up this season is the consensus that we are doomed? - I think not as Tony is clearly in it for the long haul although I do believe we will be looking for a new young? Manager - any thoughts? - I would be happy with Howe, Dyche or Robinson

Before I get slated - I obviously want us to go up but we do need a plan B if not

If we're not in the Premier League, things will start to get difficult when we're no longer receiving parachute payments. Hopefully Adel Taarabt shines at AC Milan, Julio Cesar wins the World Cup, Dellatorre becomes the next Neymar and Newcastle or some other crazy club pays crazy money for Remy on transfer deadline day

No we won't be in a worse position, because a lot of players contracts expire that are on big money like Barton, Zamora, Johnson etc.. plus we have Tarrabt, Remy and Hoilett to sell to make some money. Short term players on contact are Hill, Dunne, O'Neal and Benayone etc.. will just leave.

So we are in a good position even if we don't go up we can rebuild again.

I think Harry would leave if we don't go up.

Our budget next season will be less, so I reckon we need another Holloway/Warnock style of manager, someone with more enthusiasm and can build a good hard working team on a smaller budget.

When you think about it, Warnock was a masterstroke considering what he spent and built his team around one gifted player was brilliant. Holloways is another shewd manager I like.

Maybe consider a good league 1 or 2 manager that deserves a chance.

I have a feeling if we are in the Championship next season which looks very likely then Hitchcock will play a much bigger role in the side.

I think we'll be fine. Tony has a long term plan and within the context of that next season in isolation doesn't matter a great deal. May even be better to wait a season and go up looking stronger. The squad overhaul this season has been extreme to say the least and if 'Arry did stay and tweak further in the summer I'd be interested to see how we played. This season has been about simply getting rid of loads of players and replacing them with a workmanlike side which is partly why at times we look disjointed and are grinding out results as opposed to being impressive most of the time.

I know people moan at some of the marquee signings we have missed out on but we shouldn't underestimate the size of the task facing the board and 'Arry following the Hughes signings debacle of last season. They have had to replace almost an entire squad. Think they have done very well overall.
