I think the genuine fans are out there I know loads that don't go anymore another then now and again although there QPR supporters

Like I said deliver the right experience at the right price and those that want to watch us but potentially cannot afford it will make the effort

I think long term they need to look at giving something back like Arsenal do where as you get some cup games free up to a certain round or if were in the prem attend four low key games and your guaranteed a ticket against Man Utd, Chelsea or Arsenal. Plenty of ways of driving up interest without only focusing on neutrals

Will QPR fill a 40,000-capacity stadium?
This is likely to be the key question for many – and it arguably misses the whole point of this radical re-branding of QPR.

Fernandes is a hugely influential, indeed inspirational, figure throughout large parts of Asia, where the Premier League is already massively popular. Rangers, if established in the top flight and with high-profile players from around the world, could be of global interest and a stadium offering Premier League football in London could be a haven for fans visiting the UK. There would also be ample room for away fans when some of the biggest, most well-supported clubs visit.

So those who wonder how QPR, with a relatively modest fan-base, could fill a 40,000-capacity stadium perhaps need to look at the bigger picture. English football is changing and QPR will certainly change beyond recognition, in its character and make-up, if the owners have their way. And with the west London landscape also changing, things are falling perfectly into place for Fernandes, who also enjoys the unwavering support and trust of a clear majority of fans.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Too early to tie my money up yet, let's wait and see what's announced and then bet just before stadium opens. What happened 30 or 40 years ago has no bearing now on future attendances.

        • Our genuine fans number 10-12 thousand at the most.fair few cousins and pals etc swell that number at a cup final.

And you agree that the highlighted points from your post are good things to happen to QPR fc

Ample room for away support Eh ..............

            Very strange fella indeed
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

I didn't say I agreed or disagreed. I just posted what Dave Mc wrote.

Am I the only one that is slightly embarrassed reading that. Any article that has "indeed inspirational", "high profile players" "unwavering support" is really fit for a party political broadcast not talking about a new stadium...
Also what well supported club visits - Chelsea wasn't sold out, man city just got one tier, I managed to get 4 guests in for arsenal on my st. Apart from man utd, no real sell outs in our time in the prem.
Also if TF has a dream to take us to the top and be like Harrods, why are we shopping in Aldi for players. When we were in the prem, why couldn't this all inspiring leader and hugely influential successful businessman whose going to transform West London not spend £100m like Abramovich instead of sanctioning Luke Young.

                • I find from the articles Dave Mcintrye writes that he does not know and awful lot about what's going on in the club and most his stories are pure speculation and his own opinion

You must have agreed with them to use them to try and back up your argument for a 40,000 Music Arena

As I said very strange fella

                            • In this day and age of technology, i dont know why they dont just make the seats green and cgi on green screen all the empty seats full when we are on the telly. Win win. Big stadium, that always looks full.
