Oi ! ! !
once you sign up to the gang of four, you aren't allowed to make any jokes that may damage the cause ......... No matter how funny they might be
;-}"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

You are most welcome to join the side of the argument who are being realistic !
Of course 30k will have a minute chance of being achieved IF Uncle T keeps his promise to keep us in the 'promised land' till the end of time .........
Any slip & we're watching Championship football in a half empty stadium (if we're lucky) a third full if the happy clappy brigade get their wishes !"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?

However, you've not even considered beyond that have you? We're building a stadium that will be our home for the next 50-100 years. What's your plan? Build a 30k stadium, open it in three years time, then four years later call the builders in to expand it?
If you'd bothered to study the report I posted at the time, you'd have seen that new build stadium attendances rise even further. The early growth I spoke of happens WITHIN the first four years.
The new stadium is a long term project and therefore needs a long term plan. There's lots of potential growth for the club. If Fulham go down the tubes as many are predicting, if you go anti-clockwise from Arsenal and Spurs, there's only really Chelsea between us and Crystal Palace. Add to that the fact that we will be in a catchment area of 1.8m people, we've only got to attract 1% of that population and we're in business.
And anyway, if we don't attract new fans, we'll simply shrink. New fans are the lifeblood of any club. This isn't just about the present generation of fans.
I want to see our club playing in the top division against the best teams in England in a 21st century stadium surrounded by lots of Rangers fans. The more the merrier I say.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
