Populus fui meus nomen , tamen meus nomen est non meus nomen

went to both games this week and there were plenty of people who were there Saturday that did'nt go Tuesday, likewise a few who went Tuesday that did'nt bother Saturday. ST holders who hand their tickets to friends and family. Our support is out there, give them a team and a stadium and 1000's more will comeI must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

I know plenty who do not bother because they can only buy shi**y seats and a shi**y view on the day as they can only decide late if they are able to come.
I almost gave up when i started because of the same problem and many a times came to the ground and did not get a ticket.
I am talking 70s.
I sit at upper Loft an cannot sit with my legs straight an have to force my knees apart and annoy the person in the next seat.
\when i have brought friends they do not want to repeat that experiance again and i do not blame then.
I also happen to think people will be surprised by how many we can attract.

"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

And anyways, Southampton doubled their capacity and they're not doing too bad.Originally posted by QPR Richard View PostInteresting comment by the OP about the thousands of empty seats yesterday. We weren't far short of being 90% full according to the official attendance for a game that was early kick off on TV. Dont they count the ST Holders as being present whether they actually turn up or not ?
Then, watching the football league show, there were thousands of empty seats at Birmingham v Derby, and Sheff Wed v Barnsley for example. How is that explained?
I think it's more to do with the apathy of fans and their teams playing in a lower league.
Edit: by the way, Rotherham have doubled their attendance in 18 months since moving to their new stadium. If they can do it building a new stadium on some northern industrial wasteland, surely we can in what Boris Johnson had called London's answer to Manhattan."Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

empty seats i have 3 season tickets but the other 2 didnt come i asked around and no QPR fans wanted them said they'd watch it on tv in the warm. plus the bloke next to me has 2 ST's and only comes to a third of the home games every season . we sit neat half way line so it does look bad on tv . i'd like us to build a new stadium with a 25k capacity with a view to build up if needed like the mk dons stadium

If we establish ourselves as a premiership team there's no reason to think we couldn't pull 25k most weeks, sometimes more. Fulham manage it but they are on the slide so some of their plastic fans will head in our direction. We will also sell more away tickets for quite a few games, especially Derbys.
We had 18k against Plymouth a few years ago in league one so why wouldn't we.
A 30k stadium wouldn't be too ambitious, trouble is its not just going to be used for football so the owners would be looking to maximise revenue on non football events meaning we might end up with a stadium bigger than we really need"He'll regret it till his dying day, if ever he lives that long"
