  • West Ham fans on Maiga

Seen quite a few of them saying he was wasted in the lone striker role as it doesn't suit his game at all. Makes me wonder if harry has plans to go two up top more often from now on as surely he would be aware of the players limitations within certain formations.
Got a feeling we will see Maiga playing off of AJ/Doyle on a regular basis in the coming months.

Some west ham fans say he's talented but as you say wasted in a lone striker role. Some are really glad to see the back of him. Good record in France. I have my doubts about him but surely good enough for the championship? Think he's got about 30 caps for his country as well.

Better than 1 in 3 in the top flight in france. So hopefully will surprise a few.

lets be honest, if he's a player who looks the ball to feet then it would be harsh to judge him too much during his time with west ham, who play anything but football. I also think he could surprise a few people.

I think either way we have bought in 3 strikers so that's got to be a good thing. Hoping that Doyle and maiga will compensate each other well, if played together of course.

He's a good player who's best either on the right of a front 3, or just off the main striker in a front two...fat Sam wasted him.I'd be very excited if next season we called back remy and had a front 3 off... Maiga Austin remy!

Just because he didn't suit w.ham's style of football, doesn't make him a bad player.

That said personally I'd like to see Keane and Doyle playing up front... sorry AJ, but for some reason I just think they would complement each other with keane doing more running a creating (as well as scoring) and Doyle be more of a target man.

Think he is quite pacey too if we can slip him in or put ball over the top

Exactly "options" something we didn't have before.

Ian Taylor tweeted that the loan deadline to play this weekend was 11pm last night, so yeah! All the other signings can play as well as they're loans
