What an utter **** up. Take it back a while to when Jordan Rhodes was ready to leave Huddersfield and we were desperate (as per usual) for a striker. We passed on that well flagged opportunity, and the blinding pace and stunning goal ratios of Johnson and Zamora were not enough to save us....

We get relegated, plan for the investment of a new stadium and loan the two squad players most likely to get us Championship goals: AT (whose goals from midfield got us up last time and is proven at this level) and Remy, on grounds of financial expediency. For short sighted contractual reasons, we are unable (and AT's case, unwilling) to re-call them. Meanwhile plans for Tracy Island continue.

Having vowed not to go on our usual last minute supermarket trolly dash, HR does just that. He brings in Kevin Doyle FFS, thats right Kevin Doyle whose goal ratio is utterly abysmal. He brings in Maiga whose goal ratio is abysmal. Delatorre looks like a massive gamble (another poor goal ratio) and Will Keane, jury out but the only one of the newcomers worth a light frankly. Not only have we got a massive problem scoring, we have a problem creating, which is why we should have done anything to keep our most creative player. Even Neal Warnock, bless, understood what a weapon AT was at champ level.

When HR was appointed - and I would still take him over Hughes, at least it's more of a laugh - a few of us posted lists of young, forward thinking managers who might just give us a football club in a couple of years. The only brit based manager was Martinez, who I've always rated as top drawer. But TF and the board had about as much of a clue of where football was headed and long term planning as I have of brain surgery. We are in a massive false position and if by some miracle we go up, we're going to have to start building a new team all over again because no one in their right mind thinks for a second that this lot would do anything but come straight back down again.

Can anyone explain WTF is going on? I've been watching the Rs for 50 years but I struggle to recall such a crazy use of resources, it's just been a merry go round under TF. There is zero evidence of long term planning, and I'm talking about building a team of young footballers here. That is where you lay the foundations of a new stadium.

I think one of the problems is when Tony took control he put all his trust in Hughes, that Kia bloke and Mike Rigg.
Owning a Football Club was new to Tony but he put his faith in these 3.
Signings were made on big wages who didn't perform, who we then have struggled to offload for any fees but just loans.
I think Tony is really cautious now with regards to signings, but does see certain players in which he feels are worth going for( eg Austin, Phillips)
Tony has a good long term plan for the club with the New Training Ground and Stadium Plans.
Had we of not got relegated last season Remy would still be with us.
No matter what Harry may say, if we achieve promotion this season then Remy comes back to us.
Tony won't let him leave for Peanuts.
He convinced Remy to sign, and can probably convince him to stay.

I think that's maybe a reason why we didn't pay any big money for Rhodes.
If we had paid £10 million for Rhodes we would have got it back in the summer through the sale of Remy and with money left over.
I think Tony will try his hardest to get Remy to stay if we are promoted, and have a decent strike force in Austin and Remy for the new season.

Like yourself i am far from convinced by what is going on at the club. I like TF but what a mess we are in as a result of mistakes he has allowed to happen under his watch. Got me thinking the other day, a lot of what has gone on probably wouldn't have happened if amit was the main guy at the top due to his few more years experience within football and more importantly his experience of working alongside flavio and Bernie. Like them or loathe them they knew how to run a tight ship.

agree with a lot of what you say but the time to have got Rhodes was early doors at Huddersfield, he was well flagged up, young and hungry. In other words not the sort of player either Hughes or HR fancied.

Its great they scored, I'd willingly get stuck into them every week and be proved wrong if it would help, but it doesn't change the form book. If you don't believe check it out, very sobering stuff. Look at what Wolves fans say about Doyle, and the big lad didn't set Upton Park alight. He had a chance with Carrol out and didn't impress. It maybe that a change will help both of them, my point is that yet again my club is flying by the seat of its pants. Would Kevin Doyle - who I'm sure is a great guy - be in anyones long term plans, especially with premiership aspirations?

I just don't think we create enough chances, which means a huge premium is put on whoever ends up leading the line. Salavaging a draw at home does not change the overall picture. And Lecicester are now ten clear.

OK. Was just having a laugh really, but not into post mortems, but thanks for that!

Hal9thou I totally agree with you. What the hell is the point of going up (apart from the cash) when the world and it's pet cat knows we would not survive with thus squad.

Funnily enough just heard Harry's post match and he openly admits that both KD and MM are big gambles in the sense that both have been out of form, KD to a point where his confidence had gone. So we're talking new stadiums one minute and taking last minute punts the next. Things just don't seem joined up in any way.

So hopefully that Cellino guy forgets Leeds and comes and buys us and we'll be saved! Tony out!

What was our league position when TF entered the fray?

Things may not appear joined up to you because you don't seem to know the difference between short term and long term plans....
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Here here. Unfortunately you'll spend forever trying to explain that to some people, who thinks that if we'd of gone out and got Rhodes it would of won us the game yesterday.
