I've never slated this Dellatorre. I said I find it scary that Harry signed him without watching him. And I bet people will agree with me.

I think This Dellatorre is touch and go, he could be a gem of a player or end up being Di Carmine mkII

We simply don't know what we've got yet but lets give him a run in the team and see how he does.

I don't think harry will go to Brazil thats why we have a scouting team to do the work for him. It will be very interesting to see him play and see what we've got in him.

I don't find it scary that Harry aint seen him. Im sure he has seen videos etc. His not gona travel to Brazil to watch a player.
If looking at any players in south America, you would send scouts over there, its too far.

That post was a general one not aimed at you mate.

The "Why" post was more about the fact that, and what others have said is, Harry will not see every player play in the flesh. He has a scouting team for that. I agree if we were going to spend upwards of a million on a player then yes he should be looking, but in this instance he`s just a young lad, not costing a lot.

I've not been to Brazil to see him play, but he's appeared on the radar and is a young player who is probably one for the future

QPR boss Harry Redknapp on now Brazilian striker Guilherme Dellatorre

Doesnt sound like even Harry believes this lad is the answer to our problems right now.....
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

                  2015/2016, average at best.....

                  2016/2017, same old, same old....

                  2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

Could be a Ale Faurlin, could be a Di Carmine. Good luck to him, no risk for QPR
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Care to give us more of an insight as to what he's all about, style of play etc

New poster here, and I follow the Brazilian League as my main football fix. But QPR has always been my team in Europe since I started following the sport.

As far as Dellatorre, I honestly have no idea how he'll respond to this type of league. It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up scoring goals for QPR, or if he flops. But I think it might take a while for him to settle in. He was a highlight at the youth stages, and was the top goal scorer of a very large and prestigious youth team tournament in Brasil. He then got scooped up by Porto and did rather well for their B squad (of course their A squad has been stacked with strikers). Came back to Brasil, and had a meh season coming off the bench for a surprise team in the league. Bc he is still young, the knowledgeable fans of CAP weren't happy he left.

He's a forward who doesn't rely on only one function, but he has an all-around striker skillset. Even for Brasil he has technical ability, pace and his finishing is very good. His movement and game IQ is what he needs to work on.

I'm very glad he came to QPR as he is from my fiancee's hometown, but like I said earlier, him working out here is a crapshoot.

I would assume a manager would want to see a player at least once in the flesh after being recommended a player by his scouts.

If not then the scouts are basically signing the players.

                                Bizarre in the least.
