At this stage I'd take Maiga as well, AJ could crumble any day now and why not take the option? Any striker would struggle playing in fat sam's 4-6-0 formation

I know Charlie boy was our knight in shining armor but someone else will have to get one in. I obviously can't pinpoint anyone but I think each game someone different will step up and contribute. I think a few more will come from the midfield and the squad will rallying around this and step up their game. Whether its doyle banging in a few, johnson, barton, henry, hoilett, matty etc.

Thing is kev, no one knows do they....yet.......Your assuming none of the new signings will get goals, especially Doyle....the fact is mate, we'll only know when they play......why do you assume the worst. Whats wrong with having an open mind on these newbies.

Just life experience and knowing rangers tw. We had the best goalscorer in years, and bingo, hes out for half a season. Typical. Been so positive all season, now im not, and my gut instincts are usually right for some reason. Doyle is not the answer, and if he is i will eat three whole humble pies.

It took Charlie 5 games till he scored his 1st goal!
I agree that we don't know until we see them play, let's just wait and see.

Some fans are ridiculously suicidal, others are ridiculously positive. Presumably you were equally delighted after previous transfer windows when we signed Mbia, Bosingwa, Zamora etc. Fans are often wrong about players but any Rangers fan should know that managers are not always right. And its hardly being ultra negative to ponder quietly who is going to score all our goals when we don't have a remaining fit player who has scored more than three goals all season...

I suppose we can't really complain. It's seems hypocritical to complain about our wage bill and inability to rid ourselves of the mercenaries, and then complain again that we haven't spend millions on the likes of Rhodes etc,

I wonder if Tony's deal with Harry wasn't to sell the unwanted first, and only if successful, then to be able to spend. As we only moved on diakite and tarbs, and we're still stuck with Cesar, swp, Zamora, AJ etc, we were then unable to go all in for these other players. Would make sense.

You are saying "wait and see", what happens if they are awful for us and we score even less than we have up to now? As these new players are loan signings should we not have brought them in at the start of the window? why wait till the last day and gamble on them?
Remember we have lost Austin till next season, he needs replacing and in my opinion and others on here Doyle isn`t good enough..10 years ago he was..
We needed to BUY a goalscorer ie Rhodes Wells Ings or Vokes they are all bang in form this year and would pay off their pricetags should they help us get to the prem...

Always have an open mind with all new players.....you cannot judge a player, even as you say with Doyles recent stats, until he plays for qpr..new environment, players around him, new challenge etc etc.
This ponder quietly bit you mentioned mate......its hardly quietly when people regurgitate the same negative lines post after post....we heard it the first time, no need to keep repeating it ad nausem! Think Doyle is an astute signing, but with my open mind, the proof will be after he has played a few games. Might be good for us, might be rubbish......only time will tell.

We relied too much on Austin which shows when you look at our scorers this season.
The midfield needs to start scoring goals more goals now.
Remember who was top scorer in our last promotion season

Tony has shown his total lack of experience in football yet again imho.
Harry must of said we need a goal scorer and badly and he must of out the block on it with no funds.
Have people instantly forgotten that we have been Playing dog shite going forward nearly all season, and charlies natural instinct to nick a goal is the only reason we are second in the table.
