If we wanted experience, and now we need it because its a case that whoever takes Austin place must start on fire straight away, we could have stuck with Chevanton. It is embarrassing that after a month of negotiations we could not register the right sort. As for Belfodil, hope the door is not closed yet as he can be an asset. This club is killing me softly.......
You mean Belfodil, who is 22 and has no experience of English football.

Of course, something like that!!....it's not a tragedy though is it. Too many over the top reactions on here....eg, tragedy, end of the world etc etc. This is football, these things happen in football, but it's never a tragedy.

I had a feeling he was going to get injured sooner rather than later.

But to be fair, we can only blame ourselves, it was maddness going into the season with only 1 decent striker that can score and just depend on him. Everyone knew Zamora and Johnson were injury prone and past their best. Letting DJ Campbell go to quick was another silly mistake.

Now 4 weeks into this transfer window and we're no closer that 8 weeks ago other than signing an italian kid no ones heard of.

We should had just bought Wells and be done and dusted with it. Absolutly crazy situation to be in.

Don't think we'll make promotion this year, but I am really not sure (apart from the money) that it would be a good thing. Two or three seasons in the Championship with a settled side, and then promotion. Hopefully this would allow us to stay in the premiership. Even if the present side is promoted, I can't see them staying in the premiership.

Bill Shankly once said....football is not a matter of life or death...its more then that! I agree with you re-tragedy...however, considering the consequences his absence may bring...well....call it what you like.
