He has lots of spurs followers on twitter who prob all voted for him.

I agree he is a poor mans faurlin. Watch him closely on saturday and see how many times he gives the ball away and how many hospital passes he gives

How the hell was he MOTM?? Another very very average at best performance nothing more, unless I was at a different game. He again gave the ball away far too much, his passing is always sideways and rarely forwards. He offers little creativity. If I'm honest I would of put Zamora ahead of him! We were dreadful in the middle of the park and will get hammered on Saturday if Barton is missing.

Austin or Philips for me, although Philips never had the best 1st half, but got better and better as the game went on.

Only give him stick when justified and on tuesday it was justified he was poor very 2nd half! as I would give every other player stick if they play badly actually thought Carroll & Henry 2 worst players V Bolton although Henry scored he was still poor!

Take it a lot of these twitter voters dont attend the games? or no way could you have voted for him. most people around me on Tuesday were moaning how bad he was inthe 2nd half. maybe some have their favorite players and watch through rose tinted glasses,l ike Adels legion of fans on here?

And others take against a player regardless of actual performances and only see the mistakes.

Like Dazzer up there with his 'always passes sideways' comment despite there being a video of him not doing that at the TOTP

If his Twitter army of idiot fanboys was going to rig votes why choose a cold January night against Bolton to do it ffs

He is indeed similar to Faurlin, but Faurlin is out for the season so lets continue to slate the kid instead of backing him. Unless he goes back to Spurs in the next 48 hours, he is a guaranteed starter so we all better get use to it!

Probably just pub talk, but a couple of people were saying in the pub after the game that harry gets a paycheck when he plays him

Put it this way if they were at the game they weren't watching the same game as many others were who thought he was poor?

I watched the game and thought he was decent and pivotal in most of the better passing movements.

What all 3 of you.. the guy could do two stepovers, bend it in the top corner, in the 90th minute and you'd still think his sh*t

i was there on Tuesday and didn't think he was MoM. would have given that award to Charlie Austin for playing through the pain barrier and scoring.

my take on Carroll is that he's still a promising player. think he needs to build himself up a bit as gets pushed off the ball too easily and he took a shot at goal the other night in the first half that was one of the weakest kicks i've ever seen. (amazingly it won a corner.) he has some good spells of play and he's got good vision but until he is able to deliver on all the good passes that he sees, he should stick to keeping things simple imo.

Best passing stats in the team the other night. That would suggest that is exactly what he's doing.

Unless you're expecting him to have a 100% pass completion rate?

i form my impression of the game by going to matches rather than studying stats, but perhaps i was unclear. i don't mean all those tippy-tappy exchanges he was doing with niko when not under particular pressure. those would influence the stats and make him appear a better passer than he actually is.
