  • If we're spending more than we're taking in from the business side of things, that can't be good.

Last year iirc we lost £90m or thereabouts. We do have rich owners but there's no guarantee that they'll be around forever, so if they call in the debt the club will have to cough up in some shape or form.

I know the plan is to develop a self sustaining model where our income matches our outgoings but we are a long way from that and the debt issue remains.

The Sky money will help if we go up but we will also need to spend big to survive in the big league.

          • I am sure Tony has been quoted in the past as saying the shareholders were aware that they would probably need to "invest" to get club into Premier League and sustain there place and if this meant spending more than is generated in income they were willing to do this for a period of time however they would not be signing any blank cheques forever and that QPR needed to generate enough income to cover its costs. Now I am assuming this means until both the new training ground and stadium has been built hence the reason why Tony says he's in it for the long haul.

Teams have survived in the Prem League on much smaller budgets than we wasted over the past two year.

I don't know if we are or not. Neither do you. I just pull you up when you claim it is a fact we are.

I see you are speculating on wages again without actually having a clue what anyone gets paid. Plus we have other revenue sources than the stadium which for once is an actual fact and not speculation.

                          • We could just always trust TF and let him decide if we should spend money or save money and decide what's best for us regarding getting us to Prem. Just a thought

                            • Wickham on the bench for sunderland tonight, but they also signed an argentine forward today, Ignacio Scocco, so maybe they will look to sell Conor after tonight.
