If we dont do it with this manager and squad it could take years, and that spells curtains. He wouldnt be the first chairman to get fed up of being out of the top division and doing one. Getting up this season is essential imho. Even if we come straight back down again, cos we have got to be many ceasers and swp's taking millions out of the club, we need to get some of that back in.

i agree there are too many ponces at the club ,but going up is not the be all and end all in my opinion , according to Tony he is in it for the long hall ,so lets go up when we are ready to compete , not to just be whipping boys
              Just my opinion ............

If we cast our minds back to the end of last season Tony actually said he would willingly accept a season or two of consolidation in the Championship if it meant building the squad's foundations up so it was strong enough not to just keep yoyoing between the two divisions.

As much as i like him, and hes been the best chairman we have had imho, im still a bit worried, cos hes a shrewd businessman and wont throw away money for to long. Add to that him saying he might quit caterham if they dont start doing better, it makes me a bit nervous.

I really don't think Tony puts Caterham in the same category as QPR, Kevin. He clearly has caught the bug for us big time which doesn't quite seem to be the case any longer with Caterham, especially considering how much theyre struggling and how he knows that he can only delegate so much between his various business interests. Whereas he does seem to be in QPR for the long haul when you look at all the long-term plans and foundations he's laying.

I do agree stan mate, but all of those big plans are a lot easier when you have that 100 million coming in. Would just feel so much safer if we got up at the first attempt.

Of course he is going to say that and probably believes it too but that can change very quickly if things don't go to plan. We need to go up this year cos next season in the championship would a real make or break year with more pressure on board members etc who might start to worry about their investment.

just got in this minute, left 10 minutes from the end to get the train home, I might have known we would have a nervy last few minutes. Thought we were generally poor and a half decent side would have buried us 1st half. Be very interesting the performance Saturday, because anything like tonight and Burnley will walk it
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
