  • Four wins on the trot, but clinging in at the end against a very poor team....

A far from convincing win, but we're putting a run together. Story of our season. Winning ugly. Reading have scored twelve in two games. It'd take us six games to achieve that. We could easily have lost tonight...

Easily? Really? Did the opposition have a lot of chances then?

I know what your mean, when I watch us I do wonder how we are second and some games we don't look like a winning side. I still hope that we can buy a couple of players to give us a more cutting edge.

Could have been two up first half before we scored. That would have given them three goals. Kelvin's goal was our only serious chance second half. Green had more to do than their keeper. I thought we were poor tonight. Bobby Z was by far our most effective player. And he played twenty minutes.

They hit the post and had a number of chances - a better team would have buried them.

I've been saying the same thing all season though. Maybe the standard in the Champ really is that poor as we dont look great at all but we just keep on winning...

What we do have are players who know how to win games at the higest level.

You ought do, mate. We can't keep winning ugly. Performances matter. Bolton should have been put to the sword at 2- 0. They weren't because we couldn't do it. Crowd was as flat as a pancake at full time. Nobody near me was happy even if we were all glad we won.

                        3 points matter....performance is secondary!

oh really, how do you explain us being 2nd then if we cant keep "winning ugly" ?

It isn't, TW. Both matter. As Leicester can attest. Derby, Burnley and Reading are breathing down our necks. High point of tonight- the result aside- was Bobby Zs performance. And the two goals. Everything else was poor. Very poor.

I hope we can keep winning ugly. I fear we can't. I'd like to occasionally win wonderfully.
