  • a lesson for the boo boys?

It's basic psychology chaps -the more you get on someone's back, the worse he will play. The clear support for Bobby Z when he came on was the last thing I expected -but that was the best I've seen him play. Get behind the team -each one of them - when at the game and leave your moanings to the message board - it can make the difference -they may be overpaid, but they are human beings (well, except for Grant Holt)

Saw BZ in a petrol station near Chessington on way home fairly quickly after the game, so he must have been on his toes very quickly. As I approached him he seemed pretty agitated as I think he thought I was going to abuse him but I said he had generally played really well when he came on and he then said he felt the fittest he had in the last few years and had no intention of leaving, absolutely nobody had contacted him.......If he played like he did for the 20 mins he was on for the rest of the season, he would be like a new signing.

So why hasn't he been this fit & hungry since we signed him on a deal worth how many millions?

Too little too late for me. Glad he done well I was willing him to but I'd happier seeing him leave in this transfer window. Been nothing short of a disaster signing with his goal ratio / performances & injuries.

15 goals by the end of the season change your mind?

The thought that immediately came to me when Austin went down and it wasn't looking good was, what now? The ansewr is BZ unless someone else is brought in, he may be the guy we have to pin our hopes on to score so why abuse him?

There was an audible collective sigh of relief when Bobby put his yellow vest back on.

initially it was a bit tongue in cheek cheering Bobby with his first few touches, then fans were shocked as he actually looked half decent. Only saw 10 minutes of him as had to dash for the train, hopefully we see more of the same as Charlie could be out for a few games with the shoulder injury
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
