Watson and Buzsaky in middle - it's crying out for that. Put Rowly out wide.

Rowlands is the definition of a headless chicken and offers nothing to the team. Watson is a much improved version of Rowlands, and should be paired with either Buzsaky or Faurlin.
For that reason, I'm going to find it hard to take anything you say seriously.Your mum would love me...

Ball winner.
5-10 goals a seaon.
Cover at RB, CM or RM comfortably.
Can take free kicks.
Can take penalties.
Tracks back.
Gets forward.
Not a lot really. I suppose he really is poor.Your mum would love me...

Ball winner. Legs and Mahon are better ball winners.
Cover. Agreed, but he can be cover on the bench and come on if we get an injury.
5-10 goals a season. Most will be penaltys.
Free kicks. Not as well as Buzsaky
Tracks back and gets forward. So does Watson.

And no way is Mahon a better player that him, regardless. Mahon's only job as a defensive type player is to win balls, and that's where his ability stops.
So, you agree cover?
You agree he'll still get goals?
You agree he can still take free kicks, albeit not better than Buzz?
You agree he tracks back and gets forward?
And I'm the one contradicting myself?
I think you've just answered that he offers us more as an all-round midfielder that pretty much any one of our other players in that position. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that makes him our best CM, but it certainly makes him our more versatile useful ones.Your mum would love me...

Yes hes good cover for CM/RM and RB. Doesnt mean he should start.
Look, I dont want to sound like im having a go at Rowlands for the sake of it, I respect him for what hes done for the club and he has been a vital player for us. However we are trying to move up a level and IMO Rowlands doesnt have what it takes to help get us there. We have better options in the center of the park and Rowlands should be used as backup to injuries and suspensions.

As did Alsonso and Masherano. Masherano sits deep
As do Xavi and Toure. Toure sits deep.
Were playing 442 tonight apparently.
Weve seen before at QPR that certain combo's dont work. Legs and Mahon for example.
