    Looks like he is staying...........

QPR manager Harry Redknapp is confident Tottenham will allow Tom Carroll to stay on loan at QPR for the rest of the season.

Cannot understand peoples dislike of Carroll, he is an up and coming youngster who makes the team tick whether people like him or not. Remember people not liking Don Masson in 75/76 but he too made that team tick and allowed Francis and Bowles to do their thing. I will be glad if he stays.

No disliking from me mate but I heard plenty from around me at the last game.
Can't see how that will aid his development. Unbelievable isn't it?

our fans are far too harsh on this fella.. have a couple of numptys that sit behind me in elerslie road who slate him all game, EVERY game!

As a country we should be nurturing small playmakers like Carroll now who play it on the ground and try to play.
But cos half of our fans don't understand how footballs played on the ground, they beat him up every game and would rather he get rid and knock it into the channel everytime.

The blokes behind me definitely have not heard of the footballing saying 'sometimes you have to go back, to play forward'

The way some fans treat carroll, is an example of how as a nation we are still stuck in the past when it comes to modern footballing ways and keeping it on the deck.

Same with Don Givens, he used to get absolute dog's abuse.

With you on that mate , fantastic talent who always wants the ball even under pressure and looks to move the team forward , reminds me a little bit of a certain ray Wilkins and he wasn't to shabby

I must admit he played very well when Barton went us. But I would Bannan to us aswell.

basically, if you slate Carroll then you have no knowledge of the modern game in my opinion. We need to be producing players of Carrolls type for years to come now

I'm not denying he is an up and coming talent, but he gives the ball away too much in crucial areas, he could have cost us 2 goals against huddersfield if it wasn't for dunne cleaning up his mess.

I use to love Don Givens too and you could see Bowles and Francis appreciation of him in return. Bowlesy wouldn't have got half his goals without Givens playing off him.

The lad has potential. A lot of potential but has had precisely 2 good games for us. In no way does he improve the squad so I see no reason for us to aid a Spurs players' development when we gain nothing from it.

If he was a QPR player beyond this season, my stance would be very different and would urge people to show patience.
