People preach about about kranjar being so much better but I'm sorry the stats and performances don't add up to what taarabt done at this level.

The standard between premier and championship is massive and at this level taarabt is a cut above most and he gets away with his attitude because he has 2,3 or 4 moments in a game at this level where he produces.moments that win us the game.
Having one maverick in a squad isn't a bad thing and tbf with all Harry's experience I'd like to think he could manage one.player who has the ability to get us out the league which is our objection.
We lack creativity and he would add something different and unexpected.
Maidstone that's all well and good. I saw many of those games and it was exciting every time he got the ball. Some of the goals I will never forget (Swansea etc). However, what some seem to be forgetting is that Warnock had to structure the whole team around him and plead with many of the players to give him special treatment. With the current players we have now, and the way the team is put together - it's just never going to happen. The biggest part I could see him playing is as an impact sub - and if that's all he can be -is the management over head / affect on the other players really worth it?

Warnock got away with it (I'll always admire him for it) but even he would not have been able to continue to tolerate his behaviour. Any manager knows that if you do not address performance issues with your staff (let people get away with poor performance / attitude) that will almost inevitably lead to unrest etc with other staff....the rot will set in, effectively.

Everyone should now just get over Adel and move on. He really no longer has a role for us. It is a shame - but it seems he refuses to just 'grow up'.

        What an odd situation.

            • Why would QPR help Fulham by allowing them to loan our player so they can strengthen their squad?....Unless they've offered us money. Is it even allowed to loan out a loanee?

                • I just cannot believe with the way Joey acted at the Etihad, he was welcomed back with open arms this season. Yes Taarabt has been poor for most of the past two seasons but he was instrumental in getting us up and even keeping us up.

Now we have the chance for him to prove himself to us again and people dont want him. I don't understand why people would not want a starting 11 like this

                  Green
                  Simspon Onouha Dunne/Hill Assou Ekotto
                  Barton Carrol
                  Phillips Taarabt Hoilett
                  Austin.

That team would tear this league apart and create more goals which is what we are missing. Although kranjcar and Yossi are good, they do not have the quick thinking and 'magic' that Taarabt has. It could be the difference between Promotion and Fighting again next season.

To be fair it's all about opinions. I see it differently, I see we are lacking creativity and goals and still think the lad would do wonders for us at this level.
I'm honest enough to say long term taarabt isn't the answer. I just personally think having him back for the remainder of the.season gives us a different option.
Can anyone honestly say they'd be happy to see taarabt at any other club in the top 6_8 teams in our league?

                    • Taarabt has genuine quality in possession and can change games. He still needs coaching re. reading phases of play, etc. We need as many players as possible who can make the difference against quality opposition, particularly if we go up and want to compete. We get tarnished by accusations of throwing money at problems and it's easy to do so given recent history. Taarabt is a talented yet problematic persona who needs targeted coaching/advice just like anyone else, in whatever walk of life, who displays talent but needs skilled coaching to realise their true potential. It's too easy to write him off and not question the professional skills of those supposedly charged with managing him and tapping his optimum potential.

                            • So yet another manager doesn't want anything to do with him, yet still some on here want him back. One bad apple has an affect on the whole barrel. There is so many deluded pro Taarabt comments on here, let's just hope he is off to Milan for good.

Oh and to the poster above who asked if anyone would be happy seeing him in the opposition team then my answer is yes because it would mean their team basically playing with 10 men without the ball, with no team spirit or cohesion. Affraid with Taarabt it's all about him!

This is such ********. Bloke was Championship player of the year, to want him playing against you in this division is just plain crazy.

The fact that Milan want him says all about ur drivel.
