    Anyway, moving on...

I know he's a QPR fan, I know he has his own opinions, and I know he has no input in the team.... I've never said that.

What I'm saying is he swerves the chance to admit things on here, and I think he knows exactly why we ended up with Magilton, and why far better/proven managers wouldn't come anywhere near us.

We all know why, the difference is... I genuinely believe that the reputation we have in football is caused by the way the football club has been run, and that our failure to appoint the right manager is the single biggest factor in the situation we find ourselves in.
Get the right manager... the very best we can get, and everything else falls into place. Everything.

But we can't, and that is the fault of Flavio Briatore... and the structure/policy we have.
Robbo, this is true, hence I said that he changes his mind like the brittish weather.

All I'm saying is that It's very unfair that someone can say something and always be accused of it not being their opinion. Forgive me if this sounds rude, but it really is a boring claim that's being used far too often.
    Your mum would love me...

Lets stop mucking about here, the reason the fans are frustrated and getting on players backs is because we are under performing and the reason for that is because we have a crap manager and the reason for that is our owners want too much say in team affairs and therefore no decent manager wants to come to LR.
Look at all succesful football teams and do you see chairman or 'sporting directors' telling the manager what players are coming to the club or whose playing on the saturday? Do you b ollox. Look at Newcastle last season, too manay chiefs and all that(ie Dennis Wise) and now they are plying their trade in the 2nd tier.
Our problem is not impatient fans, its the people who run the club and anyone who cant see that needs to get their head out of the sand.

          Not rude at all.

I do believe his opinions are his own, I don't agree with many of them... but that's life.
I just think he's in denial about certain things - mainly the effect that the past actions of the owner(s) have had in stopped us from appointing the right manager... and I happen to think that is the single biggest reason for the lack of direction, unity (throughout the whole club), passion, and stability that leads to all the moaning and bad press.
And affects the results - which drives everything.

          Ok, an example:
My sons football manager is a box-owner at West Ham, and very friendly with the coaching staff there. He was invited along to an LMA function a couple of months back, and took me along for the evening.
I got talking to a senior member of the coaching staff at West Ham on his table, and we chatted about QPR. If you knew who he was, you'd know why he was happy to do so.

When I asked him about the feeling among his profession with regards to how QPR are seen, he just laughed, and said "Yeah, all a bit of a circus, isn't it?... it's a shame, but nobody in their right mind would put up with that crap".

Now I put the blame for that squarely on the shoulders of Flavio Briatore, and the set-up he's implimented.
And I happen to think that is the root cause of ALL the concerns that Pete, me, you and everyone else has.
What Pete thinks, what I think, what you think - all side issues.

The gates dropping, the fans apathy and the players attitude.... everything.
          It ALL stems from that.

Add in what many agents feel/say about GP and it really is all rather a mess..

I have had similar discussions with people from 3 other London clubs. And a well respected journalist/author who has very strong QPR connections who described the situation at our club as "farcical"

Robbo, you're not the only one who doesn't agree with Pete's opinions as you know very well that I don't either.

I agree, It's frustrating, but there are far more annoying opinions given accross MB's htese days. Me and you won't agree on everything. I doubt I'll ever find someone who see's everything the way I do.

I also agree with Nodge....the circus jibe is getting to be a nationwide opinion these days.

Most sensible and honest sentence of the day!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Fair enough... I've made enough points lately, just banging on a bit now!
I know what I think, and so does Pete.

I hate it when people try and convince me think to their way... and so does he. Fair enough.
We'll agree to differ on where the problem lies.

                      BTW, you've got a PM.

We all want the best for the club. I don;t buy the fact the players are not good enough either, its all about lack of passion and attitude.
                        Such a biased view.

Yes, the takeover came with so much promise. They promised money, no debts, no ticket rises.

Since then, not back it up. THATS why there is so much hatred to them

I'm likely to get slated due to my lack of attendance to games, but money and work get in the way (plus geography since I live in Brizzle)

Why do people look back with rose tinted glasses with regards to previous managers.

                            1. Olly - when we got beaten we went down kicking and screaming, players were prepared to put the boot in and fight for the club - we saw that and respected them for it - yeah tactics were sometimes off the chart but that was 'ollowhead' all over

                            2. De Canio - We scored GOALS, played nice attacking football and yes the defense leaked like a sieve but if we conceeded we always thought we could bang one in - he dragged us out of the bottom of the table and gave us hope

                            3. Dowie - Sorted out the defense but like Sousa wasn't given enough time (some would say they were given TOO much time)

Whats wrong now I feel goes alot deeper, the club culture has changed, we dont have our backs up against the wall or pushing for a promotion from a lower division and the fans feel that.

Players are not performing to our expectations and the hype that goes with them the fans see/feel that as well.

The few games I manage to attend each year you can FEEL something is wrong..

                            The solution to all this?

I dont really know we've changed managers more than we've changed home kits recently thats not working

So it has to be something else.

We're in a BIG downward spiral, people booing, players lacking confidence which leads to poor results and more booing....Rinse and repeat not a good reciepe.

mental ramblings but just my opinion

                            Cal

I'm still glad the board took over and wd infintely rather watch the likes of watson stroking it around the park than john curtis slice it into the stands; that said three wins in 24 games or whatever it is can scarcely be an improvement on our form just prior to the takeover. we can argue all day about what has gone wrong but you cannot argue against the point that it has gone wrong.
