Done some work at a Pro Gk's this morning, got chatting about football instantly.
His agent is AJ's or knows him, apparently Redknapp isn't playing him because he wants to prove to TF that he needs another striker and trying to convince him to cough up.

Thought it was a strange one but worth posting up none the less

AJ isn't playing because he can't put 2 games together before injuring himself. Now he is fit he's bleating on about not being selected, but the truth is if he was he'd break down again.

If we're relying on persistent crocks like AJ and BZ then we really are fked. :(

Yeh must admit I thought it was down to being injured but just thought it weird that he come out with that.

A fit AJ would be too good for us sadly

He's ok for bench back-up because he's a decent player. But If we're left with Chas and the Fulham chuckle brothers as our only striking options come Feb 1st, then we're in a bit of bother.

to be honest, i've been thinking that 'arry's been trying to force the board's hand for a while - i don't get the whole "there's no cover for simpson (especially now that i've loaned harriman out)" thing and the hitchu thing is also baffling - the boy is doing good on every loan spell, but he's only managed to get about 10 minutes game time for us (and scored the winner during those 10 minutes). i'm not saying the youth squad is the answer... but it'd be really good to see someone get their chance and actually break through

Tbh that's not a surprise at all! Harry always does that
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

No real surprise. Harry obviously feels he can't rely on AJ to be fit. Probably 99% of us would agree I think.

                I completely agree tbh.

As much as I think he's a good player, If he keeps getting injured, he becomes more of a liability. You cant trust or rely on someone who's going to play well one week, get injured the next and then be out for weeks/months.

IMO we definitely need to bring in replacements for zimmer and breakable Johnson.
                SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

When he started against Huddersfield who else thought in about the 6th minute when he copped the ball in the face... 6 months out now with a broken collarbone. Would of been typical!

Not playing Chevanton tells us everything we need to know.

All managers play games, he inherited Johnson and clearly doesn't fancy him but it is true to say that Johnson has been fit for some time.

AJ is a good sub. We still need another striker.
