You seem to be alluding to Mr Beard having no input in transfers?? If so then just WTF does he do at the club?!
Okay - we may end up with a stadium to rival The Millennium Done but will have a bundle of overpaid over the hill midfielders playing in it.

    Our business dealings are farcical
All those you mentioned things you mentioned previously about M'bia etc, are what DoF does. It's not Phil's job to make sure the manager signs great footballers. That's the manager's job or DoF's job. It wasn't Phil's fault that M'bia, Granero and Diakite didn't exactly work out.

Just WTF does Phil do at the club? He has to administrate the club. There's quite a few that are employed by the club, apart from football players. It's a machinery that need to be kept going if at least logistically. Running it is a full time job.

He doesn't get much input on the transfers. No footballing input what so ever I would say. His job is to make sure all the paperwork is correct and I guess maybe trying to get it done for the club as cheaply as possible. All of that stuff you said earlier about the bad transfers are Hughes' fault and he lost his job. Tony would be next in line to blame, much more than Phil Beard anyway.

Not sure she would come back now. She was distraught when Flavio did what he did.

              • These kind of threads never end up well, they always end up with "next" or " glad he's not coming" or "we don't need him" comments, usually from the same people who really wanted him earlier in the thread

                      • serious question, why all the hype about this guy, 12 pages? from what I've seen (youtube videos) he's quick, decent at going past players and has a poor final ball. Junior Hoilett anyone?

Interesting that. At least we will know one way or the other and be able to move on to other targets if he doesnt come. Perhaps a reveal of the player at the game tonight?

                              • Tuesday noon , the Ntep saga is still not completed . The transaction is expected to close before the end of the afternoon , says Guy Cotret

President Guy Cotret, whatever the destination of Paul George Ntep, He'll get what he wanted and to be let go, for a sum of around 6 million plus bonuses.

While everything seemed to indicate that Queens Park Rangers would be the destination, as it was the prefered club of Ntep , Stade Rennais came back strong in the race to sign, both the amount offered and the bonuses on the player's salary , revised sharply upwards after the refusal of the latter at the first offer.

Stade Rennais did the forcing since Monday and continues today (Tuesday) , so that it is the French club who held the rope.

It remains to know the choice of the player concerned and his agent. It is they who hold the key .
