    What? why that be there downfall? park was finished anyway, Kagawa was the new Park and took his place.

                  Yeah and there's so many of them knocking around for a pound or two? You make it sound like there's a real possibility to find these Prem class youngsters, let alone find them affordable and then convince them to come to a modest club in the Championship

                            imo that was a big mistake too. It is one that nearly all new managers make.

                            I think it makes sense to keep a successful backroom team to help new managers find their feet at a club and deal with the players that are already at the club. Afterall, the likes of Phelan who'd been there for 15 years surely knew more about players like Carrick, Fletcher, Cleverley, Anderson, Nani, Fernandez, Jones, Smalling ettc than Moyes and his Everton backroom team.
