Don't think he gets any more stick than Mbia, Zamora, SWP, Park etc at all. All better off out the club imo.

Agree to disagree. We have a certain right back, signed from Aston Villa, don't think he has featured in the first team under our last two managers. TV was probably still black and white when he last played. Admittedly he can't be on Ceasar's wages but he must be on at least 20,000 a week. Nothing against him as it happens, but I never see a thread on here complaining about why we are still paying him. See two or three fabulously mad threads a week positively foaming at the mouth about Caesar tho.

Fair point mate but I think a huge difference is the fact that Young doesn't have an other options, he's a crock that nobody wants. Whereas Cesar had offers and opted to stay and warm the bench to keep his hefty salary. Says an awful lot about the bloke IMO.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Not convinced he is any worse a person than countless other players taking the pay cheque. His agent just managed to screw more money out of us than Young's agent. Admit I'm not completely up to speed with Young's situation, but you never read of him actually being injured. Could be wrong. But he was a good player in his day - still remember him Stoke away and thought he was one of our best signings of that crop - am sure someone wd have him half fit or not, prob just not on the same wages. Or what about SWP? Or Diakite? Or Hogan for God's sake? When did he last start in a league match for us?

he has not even been warming the bench.
I think he is a great keeper, but by choosing to stay without a realistic hope of playing, just to keep picking up a huge salary says a lot about his character.

worse than all the others imo. money more important to him than confirming himself as being brasils no.1 keeper in their potentially greatest wc year ever.
how much money does he need?
the sooner he's gone the better.
              Nothing to prove

An expensive leech. Lost any 'world' status in my book. Not even worth spitting on.

Agree 100%. I still think he is (was) our best keeper.
