Lot of negativity on here but we are in a very good position with 20 games to go. The Championship in its current form has 9 previous seasons where the average points to achieve automatic promotion is 85.22 points.

So from the remaining 20 games we need 34 points to get to 86 or 1.7 points per game compared to the 2 per game we have currently obtained.

Add to that the fact we will almost certainly strengthen our side and have players who have experienced the pressure the second half of the season will bring and we are in pretty good shape.

The most important thing is getting results against Leicester, Burnley, Derby and Forest.

Disagree completely, we've lost to Leicester, Burnley, Forest and only won against Forest. 3 points from 4. Yet we are 2nd. Its wins against everyone else that will secure our promotion, not necessarily against our closest rivals!

I am not saying not winning other games. I am stating the importance of beating teams around us to open the gap and increase our chance of going up.

Keep winning at home and picking up points away and we will be ok.

All totally irrelevant. Worry about no one else and take each game as it is. Aim to beat the team put in front of us and don't think of the next game until we are playing them. If we have to worry about other results it's because we aren't doing our own business right!

The only thing is everytime I watch us play I always say we don't really look like a promotion team at times. I think we were lucky yesterday as Huddersfield could had put 3 past us easily in the first half.

                Still onwards and upwards.

Disagree, teams are always going to get chances, its football,if you watched the Leeds v Leicester game yesterday Leeds should have been a couple up at Half Time but they weren't,and yes Leicester are flying but don't mean to say teams are never going to get chances against them, every team i've watched this year have looked vunerable at times !!

Thats the difference between championship and premier league. We would have been 3-0 down and out of the game last year in the prem but Hudd and other championship teams dont have the quality to punish our mistakes.

We'll go up...it won't be pretty, but we'll do it.

As much as i would love us to go straight back up, it wouldn't be a disaster if we stayed down for another season. as many have commented that team yesterday would have been slaughtered in the 1st half by 75% of the teams in the premiership. Can you imagine playing man city at the moment! if we do up the temptation will be to buy big and so the cycle will continue. Consolidation and continuity is what we need now. Southampton went up with a team that had basically been together for a few seasons. so were able to make one or two key additions. i don't think we are in a position to do that yet!

Certainly NOT beating the teams around us cost us the last 2 seasons and dearly the latter.

But Dazzer is right, 1 game at a time.

And worry about NEXT season in July, just enjoy this season for what it is.
