The most important of which it left us completely un-prepared fir promotion to the prem as we had no core to the team but were simply reliant on one player.

He had a chance a blew it, in fact he has many chances and will never change, lazy and ill disciplined and will only weaken any TEAM he plays for, move on.
Think that's harsh. He came to us a young raw talent and also helped us stay up. Warnock nurtured him saw his ability and built a team.around him. I'm pretty sure without taarabt we wouldn't of had that championship winning season. 20 goals and 15 or so.assists he contributed. He gave me certainly some of the best memories of qpr I can remember.

He was so good in the championship I thought he would make the step up to the premiership comfortably but for whatever reason he didn't whether that's attitude or he's just one of those players who can't make the step up. But to now not.awknowledge his.contribution is.ridiculous.

Question is his attitude not his ability at this level. Taarabt would undoubtably add something to us and in a team that is galvanised and wouldn't take his **** like last time he could be a assett.

Tarbs is just frustrating he can be an absolute genius or a absolute waste of space. bit harsh to compare him to O'neil as there very different players.O'neils a dog of a player,a work horse someone who'll win the ball back, keep it simple.you can't mention him and the word flair in the same sentence.Benayoun has been a classy inventive player in the past but at the moment he's made about the same amount of appearances for Rangers as Alan Brazil and made about the same impact.

Barton would have a hell of a lot of Donkey work to do with that midfield, to play phillips and traore you would need to play 5 in mid and one up front, i.e how we finished the game yesterday.

I'd be interested to know what sort of numbers voted in these polls week in week out. I hardly ever vote in them and when a team is losing like we were most weeks, most fans i'd wager don't bother
with these polls as it's of little consequence who played well if we've lost.

That would be my worry to. We'd need a Rhodes type up front with Charlie and would be reliant on winning games 4 - 2 lol

That doesn't make those who could be bothered wrong though does it?

It does if they vote for him because he does a stepover or two before being robbed in possession.Or beating a couple only to shoot miles wide when he should've picked out a team-mate I remember fans waxing lyrical over Cesar because if it weren't for him we'd have conceded 6 instead
of the 3 for eg. But failed to take on board 2 of the 3 let in were his errors. Let's face it Adel fans talked him up constantly

No one, not even his biggest critic can not recognize his contribution in that one season, nor his ability, but it was only because the whole team pandered to him. Unless that happens he doesn't perform and our current players or indeed those at any other club will not do that. Would you be happy at work if you work mates didn't have to follow the same rules as you and just got away with it time and time again. In those situations other players simply stop trying, see a theme with our prem seasons.

What season are we talking about? If it's the year we went up its no surprise he got man of the match each week! He's the one who got us of our seats.

So the MOTM threads were hijacked by Adel fans? Or the votes were cast by people blinded by stepovers?

I think you're clutching at straws a bit on this one.

The MOTM wins don't prove he was good in the Premiership, but it does show that he was by no means the worst of the team, and suggests he was one of our better performers.

It says nothing about his attitude towards playing for us now, or his off field exploits/lack of trainign etc. Those are all valid complaints and reasons that people don't want him back.

I just don't like the rewriting of his performances on the field during the 2 years in the Prem. He was one of our better performers, and although that is not exactly something for him to write home about, let's not pretend he wasn't.

I don't remember great performances last season....Fulham home, Chelsea away....my main memory was frustration at him being caught in possession most of the time, or slowing down break aways with his
compulsory step over and trying to beat an opponent

Just like to add if he comes back here and 'Arry puts him in the team i'll want him to do well and produce the performances he did the last time we were here, but i don't think he will
because of the reasons i put in post #35.
The one thing i am confident with is if 'Arry doesn't put him in the team it's because he thinks he'll disrupt it

THere's nothing bar a few Fulham fans musings to suggest he's coming back here anyway tbf. He has been out of their squad before.

As I've said I don't think we'll see him back in the team while Redknapp is here.

Opposing teams would cut through that midfield four. Joey would be overrun.
