  • Carroll Got out of Jail today

Their goal was 100% his fault caught napping with no awareness of the player behind him and they nicked it off his toe

seriously needs to up his game as its the business end of the season and everyone needs to step up

He's not good enough. Like a Championship version of Tom Cleverley. What does he actually offer other than the ability to pass the ball sideways and backwards?

Can't see him cutting it at spurs. As mentioned numerous times to light weight for middle of the park. Thought would see a lot of forward defence splitting passes from him but recall too many. Crab

Was going to ask the same question.

He has had his moments of good passing and helped us keep good possesion but he also can look lightweight out there and I agree with you about his role in their goal! Hopefully we'll see more of the better qualities of this young player as we move forward!

Grates on me when people start these threads after an important hard earned win but now you've done it I have to say I agree with you.

I've defended him many times but today he was extremely poor. I 100% believe Redknapp didn't take him off as he knows & we all know he would of got a rapturous sarcastic cheer as other players have had which would of knocked his confidence for six & would also have put a dampner on the team out there. He persevered with him & rightly so. Our fans are not the most forgiving & we have some real *** holes in the stands. Harry is not silly h knows he was not at the races today.

I must be watching a different game at times to some of you guys...

I thought Carrol had a decent game today. Turns and drives us forward at every opportunity. As a result, he loses/ misplaces passes. Comes with the territory.

I dunno, maybe I know nothing about the game after 46 years on this earth...

                          Same here.

I watched him closely because of the stick he gets, and although he didn't have a fantastic game, I fail to see why he gets so much stick (above and beyond anyone else at least)

The more I see of him, the less impressed I am.

So many people were talking the guy up before they'd even seen him play for us, and as a result people were expecting big things, but for me, I've been nothing but disappointed with him.

He can't tackle. He dosnt help break up play. He offers nothing in the way of going forward, so not too sure what he brings to the table as a midfielder? Those are key attributes a midfielder should have in his locker, and this boy has none. He's passing is not even that impressive.

I find he slows down play too much with his 2 yard passes to Dunne / Hill and too many times gets caught out in dangerous areas.

Really disappointed, as like i said at the start, was really expecting him to be something special.
