Our ranking in terms of size has dropped in recent seasons as a result of bigger clubs getting promoted/reglegated to the Championship.
We pay the same prices to watch our team as Newcastle fans yet we can compete with them on a level playing field. We could not do that without this board and I doubt given the money that is now in the CHamionship that we could hold our own in this league without them.
Success is not happening overnight but we are still 11 places higher than when they walked in the door. Put things into perspective.
THe days of paying pennies to get into football are long gone. Don't blame the board. THey have to pay large salaries to have a chance of competing. Blame the players yes, but not just QPR players, all football players. There is too much greed anc smaller clubs like us suffer most.
Message boards are a curse for a small club like ours. A few people talk down our team and then others of little intelligence but big mouths follows suit.
This team is a few players away from clicking. Have to say though, i would hate playing football at Loftus Road if I was a QPR player. A number of our own fans make it a very intimidating place to play.
Everything else your totally right, what makes me laugh is the fans don't realise they have had a part to play in this whole charade of the past 12 months. The moment those ST prices were announced last summer it apparently gave us all the right to boo the team, abuse individuals and instantaneously find scapegoats.
Off the top of my head
Singing Camps name on Cernys debut
The booing off Mahon against Ipswich
Making Ramage a scapegoat for half a season before making him a cult figure of sorts.
Hurling abuse at Briatore in the Directors Box
Abusing players walking past the Springbok (allegedly)
Hissing at 19 yr old lad from Spain everytime he made a stray pass.
And in the past 25 home games booing the team off the pitch at least 10 times (probably more).
So yes you are right a number of our own fans make it a very intimidating place to play.Last edited by W12_Ranger; 14-09-2009, 11:26 PM.

We all know we needed a good left back and one of two decent strikers, yet we spent a load of cash on a midfielder we did not need.Valuable money that could have got a decent goalscorer in.
I will never give up on us,but i honestly feel we are going backwards when you consider the start we had under Dowie. He was sacked with us 7th,our lowest league position at the time.I would snatch your hand off if you offered me 7th now.

rblockells, I posted some stats the other day showing that we had the most shots on and off target last weekend in the championship. So we are creating, but not scoring.
It does suggest that we need a couple of good strikers, but I believe we have come unstuck in our attempts to get additional firepower on board.
These guys are not going to pay silly money for a striker so it takes extra time to get the 1-2 strikers you need.
Don't worry about being a laughing stock. Paul Merson is the kind of person that is laughing at us. A guy that had to go back living with his mum.
I am not saying it is at all rosy at present. it is uncomfortable BUT this is our club and we must fight togther for them. Maybe the players will play better if we can somehow get behind them.
For all our faults we are just outside the playoffs and would suggest to you that we wont be far away come May,

well it's not just the likes of paul merson laughing at us-if it was it wouldn't matter.there are very senior people within the game, some of whom have had many years attachment to QPR who see the lies, spin and self-seeking agendas of the controlling powers within our club, that makes it all the more worrying.
Conners,i genuinely admire your spirit and optimism, and tomorrow i will be standing and shouting encouragement to the lads,as always-but it can't go on like this forever.

W12 Ranger, some excellent points.
The people that booed Cerny. Come on. That guy is most definitely a better keeper than Camp. The ridiculing of our own players at Loftus Road has been unbelievable.
I still look back at a few players that came to our club, showed early signs of potential, but quickly lost confidence after a few games only to end up at somewhere like Stevenage.
As I pointed out earlier, Newcastle fans pay £25 a game yet their fans come from a poorer part of the country.
I would say 20% of those not attending have a legitimate financial reason for not attending.

rblockells, there are so called QPR fans who seem to get off on the fact that various initiatives by the club don't work.
I see the club is allowing under 16's in for free tomorrow night. What a great offer. Are people commending them ? Are they f***. THey don't care.
I got a brochure from the club the other day with all the club shop memorabilia in it. We have never had a brochure or variety of products available to us.
These guys are trying to put us on a professional footing. They are making quite a few mistakes but I support BECAUSE I believe they want success for our club and they are doing what they are doing because they think it will bring success sooner rather than later.
Anyway, here's hopefully to 3 points tomorrow night.

Plus the many more, who say a player is rubbish and haven't seen them play.
By the way, Cerny and Ramage are great examples.
We live for the moment today its Borrowdale, reality he is not that great, but some even blame him for our draw on Saturday !!ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

It’s all so easy to support a team when they are doing well but when the chips are down that’s when we the fans can make a difference. Its times like this that we need people to be more positive instead of all this bloody doom and gloom. Just listen to yourself some of you sound like bloody Arsenal supports ringing up TalkSport. I quote “Let’s be avin yer”
When the club had a lot less than it has now. The fanbase was more positive and united. The unrest has come because the board and its suckass superfans(Unfortunately, I can't take the credit for that. pinched it from LFW) believes we should be forever grateful and never question the BS.

LFW , isn't that my old mate Finney, the voice of the people. The man that spins nothing other than his own charity walk and takes every opportunity to speak negatively to a journalist ? Ok, I'll leave it.
Anyhow, things have moved on since those days. Luton Town are the ones with the buckets. Look where they are.
I'll save my last piece of advice to the QPR players. I will support you through thick and thin, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE stop triangle to play pretty triangles out of defence. Get the ball up the pitch when you are under pressure.

Under 16's in for free tomorrow night.
Whoop-de fu****g doo.
Kids are back at school so how many will be able to take advantage? Not my two.
I'll tell you what is wrong Conners.
TWO seasons of sod-all. That's not coming from a spoilt brat of a fan. I've been going thirty years and happily put up with some right old ****e in that time.
Yes we have a club -and money has been spent. But come on - has it been spent wisely?
Go on - argue the point, has ALL the money spent so far been right?
No? Why? Now some may blame GP - I don;t cos I know GP has as much say in spending of money as I do. FB don;t do delegation does he?
The long contracts, the pony players on those long contracts. This aint a moan about not signing players like Man City have done, this is about spending the money we have on rubbish. Too much for too little.
Now we have gone for two years without seeing too much benfit and fans are getting ****ed-off.
We ALL were positive - we all gave them time. We believed in them as they are astute business men. But have they not had enough time? Not spent enough money to at least have shown signs of progress?
And please defend the C club nonsense. What has that given us? Is it profitable?
Doubt it very much. Does it provide a "flagship" for the club? Not at all - cos it's always bloody empty.
So, what is happening? Where do you see us going and how?
"FB doesn't do failure" I hear you cry.
Well, actually, he does. Renault are a ****e team and have been for some years now.
And so are QPR.
I was happy with nothing, bumbling along. OK - so we may have gone out of business and ended-up in the Conference.
Well, so would I - I would have been there too. ****ed-off but accepting that we were just another victim of the current corporate greed in football.
Not saying I WANT it - God no. But would have accepted it.
Then we are promised much, by some chaps that have got so much (money and chat)
But it's all wearing a little thin.
THAT IS WHY THERE IS NEGATIVITY.
If you don;t see that you are either
a) On drugs
b) Insane
c) Ali Russell
Thanks for listening.
