They`re not ticket touts. The seller sets out the price he wants in return for exchange of his seat at any given game. For a pre arranged sellers fee, that is clearly high lighted before any sale is agreed. If people are willing to pay high amounts for games against the likes of Man utd/Chelsea etc then that is not down to Viagogo.

The fact that people are willing to buy from ticket touts does NOT suddenly make the ticket touts not ticket touts. That doesn't even make sense!'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. What ever mate. You can label them which ever way you see fit.The fact of the matter is, they offer a service, of which they receive a payment just like any other service across the globe.Lets take tomorrows game as an example. As of now(Just looked)tickets start at £11 for an adult seat in block V.The club are selling the same block and row at £28.

There seems to be a reality filter for some on this site, judging from some of the replies in this thread and others, and plenty of strawman arguments that don't deal with facts. Now, if you'd actually bought tickets off viagogo, like I have, you'd have discovered that far from being inflated prices, they're actually nearly always cheaper, and sometimes a lot cheaper, than the official price. This is because as MyWord says above, the individual seller sets the price. I have been to several games paying in the region of £10-15 quid a ticket, once a mate and me got seats in SA for £7.50 each. How does that make them ticket touts?

Viewers can make their own minds up after watching this. There's a Dispatches one too knocking around that I'll dig out later.

"Yes, but you've used StubHub's business model in illustration, not Viagogo's"
No that is how Viagogo works, never used Stubhub. As for the video you put up, how does that reflect to little old QPR ?. Hubbles experience in the past is not Unbelievably lucky, it`s the norm, as the ticket prices i have highlighted further up this thread."I could think of a number of what I think would be interesting (and not even "gotcha") questions. But they wont be asked"

I think you`re maybe confusing this thread on buying the odd ticket or two at Rangers games with block bookings to see the likes of Coldplay.
Yep i agree and so does the evidence that the likes of Viagogo, Stubhub etc work in a some what shady manner.Supply and demand my friend is a callous beast, all the time Timothy and Tamara have an expendable income and a lack of common sense, company`s will exploit them. And good luck to em.
And for the record i work for neither company posted in this thread."I could think of a number of what I think would be interesting (and not even "gotcha") questions. But they wont be asked"

The fees charged by viagogo are not reasonable, they are a gouge - 25% of the ticket price (last time I looked, 10% from seller and 15% from buyer, or vice versa, I can't remember which) plus a hefty fixed commission! Don't you think there should be a cheaper way for real fans to buy tickets from one another?
It is great that you have been able to purchase SOME tickets at below face value but that is of course irrelevant to determining whether viagogo are ticket touts. Even touts have to sell at a loss sometimes. If you could tell me that ALL tickets they sell are at or below face value, that would be different. Wait until we get promoted and the human ticket touts buy up a bunch of season tickets to sell to you via the electronic ticket touts and see what the prices look like then!'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf.
