  • Connor Wickham

While looking at an Ipswich fans network forum there was a thread suggesting that Wickham would be available this month for around the £4m Mark. Should this be true I would like to think that he would be on old h's radar.
My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.

He should definitely be on our list of targets. Right age and been banging em in at this level.

although young, proved that he doesnt quite make the grade at Prem level, so cant see us forking out 4 mil for someone who will need replacing in 6 months time if we are promoted.

well no one else seems to be on QPR's radar!

I know there is still a little more than two weeks to go, but why wait until the last day and end up with panic buys like Puncheon (not used and might have been good), SWP, Ferdinand, Cisse, Zamora, Mbia & Granero?

Look how botched up it was in August with Johnson about to leave only for it to be called off because QPR couldn’t bring someone else in

I cant see it happening, it wouldn't make a lot of sense sending Hitchcock back out on loan and then signing a lad the same age and arguably same ability as him. I would imagine we're looking for someone who's got a bit more experience and goals behind him.
          SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

I doubt Wickham would come, besides I didn't really rate him anyway.

I'd rather we had gone for that Wells.

Not sure you should be writing him off just yet, still very young

I still think its crazy that Hitchcock went back out on loan. Ok its good for him and he will be getting some very important playing time at a high level but I still think he could do a good job for us.
All in good time I suppose

I'm really starting to believe Cole is our main target

He's found it hard to break into the Sunderland side so it's hard to tell what he'd be like given a regular run in the PL. Seems to be on form for Sheff Weds and could be a decent player. Would imagine if he moves he'd want first team football and I think Harry wants more experience to lead the line.

The less we hear and read about Our targets before we "sign" them the
                            better. My opinion only.

he may be young, but Wickham is way above Hitchcock's level. He has experience in the Premiership, the Championship and England U21 level. Hitchcock has played a bit part in the Championship and a bit of League 1 experience.
