Not bad, doubt lescott would be realistic and I'm still unsure on onohua at premier level.

Kranjar will have to be a lot more consistent imo to have a starting position in the prem. All I know if we go up there's a lot of work to be done. 4 new players just won't cut it imo

I meant no more than 4 first team starters. You can add more to the squad overall though, and it's not a rule just something that needs to be considered imo. Any more than that and I think it will remove the nucleus of the team and be too much of a change possibly. That togetherness goes and demoralisation kicks in, the hard graft and solidarity of the previous season forgotten. Change can be done successfully but it would be complex and success depends on many things really. What characters you bring in, personality etc. If they're in this country already than it's that much easier, if they come from abroad it might be that much more harder for them to adjust, not just to the game but culture etc.

That team above is pretty much what I had in mind. Did think of the left winger conundrum but I would be inclined to give Hoilet/Traore/Taraabt a chance at that next year depending on what the situation with them is like. They've got the talent certainly but it's something to keep an eye on.

Had this conversation on Saturday. Personally I reckon we are 5 players short of being a team who should survive. That's 5 first team'ers not squad players. Sign BAE for starters! Then the 5 signings will be 2x centre backs, 3 midfielders (1CM & 1 wide player and 1 versatile player - winger/striker). Take Remy back as well in the blink of an eye. Add this to our current squad and we should be mid table.

Looks to have a promising career ahead of him.

Think Chelsea will be keen to hold onto him for a few years to see how he progresses but agree otherwise.

If we can keep hold of BAE great no need for another l/b
Midfielder i would like to keep Carroll but if not i think we will need one in there alongside Barton
Striker? Who knows what we are about to get , we probably wont need one come July..
