  • Sell before we buy?

Times report Sunderland decided not to sign Caesar - because he is on £96,000 a week!

No wonder why Tony has grown a bit more cautious about splashing the millions around...

We're paying a player £96k each week to play in goal at Harlington against the likes of Barnsley U21s...........

THAT IS JUST NOT TRUE. 100%, papers love to kick a bad image in but it's not true
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

Champions league winner that signed for us from inter, would not surprise me at all if he is on that sort of money.

Fernandes himself said no player is on the wages Cesar & Samba were reported in the media, exact words were no where near that. These are just numbers that the media themselfs have made up & themselfs are circling

Of course it's true. That's why he hasn't gone anywhere. That and living in London.

People always say he isn't on these rumoured high wages.
But it put off 2 Italian Clubs last summer, also Arsenal as well.

It looks like Brazils No1 in the World Cup will still be 3rd Choice at QPR.

If this is true, then I hope Tony knows that we can offer lowers wages now.

60k a week maximum basic wage as of last season. Naive paper reader if you believe anymore than that.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Probably 95k after bonuses, of which he will be getting none.

Half that I'd say. Keepers can't command that kind of wong believe it or not.

I've got this feeling that Tony will not sanction any new transfer before we get rid of the remaining death wood. We are still paying huge wages to Cesar, Diakite, Young and SWP which are not even considered for selection. You cannot blame Tony. Freeing Cesar will make space for two or three good signings.
