  • Its Not OUR club anymore...

I've been going to Rangers as a season ticket holder for 20 years and no matter how sh**e we were during the relegation days, admin etc I always felt that there was a closeness and affinity between the players and the fans. At times they might not have been the greatest of talents but somehow you felt that they cared, that we cared for our club. It was a feeling that we were all in it together (no matter WHO owned the club), come rain or sun (mainly rain!)

Pretty much since the takeover it is no longer OUR club but a plaything for the rich and shameless and even now looking at our current squad ( Cookie , Ainsworth and Rowlands aside) I just see that the majority is a bunch of underchieving prima donnas made up of loanees, johnny foreigners and the crocks here for the big payday who have no affinity with the fans whatsoever and couldn't give a toss how we all feel come ten to five on a saturday evening.

It is clear to me that the attitude & distance between the fans and our owners/board has filtered down to the players to the extent that they dont care that WE care and they are not into the 'QPR way of life' in the same way we all are.

Agree with a lot of that. We have players who really do not care whether we lose or not.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Not just QPR, this sentiment echoes around most clubs.

Yoru sentiments are echoed by many fans and I can understand where you are coming from, but thats football in general.

unless you support one of the Big 4, you ain;t going to win anything big and you just cling onto the hope that our club can acheive promotion, thats about all we have.

Current financial climate has not helped either.

Disagree with the fact that all players don't care, I fail to remember a match where Matthew Connolly hasn't clapped the fans.

There is more chance of our players giving us fans the 'Clap' than clapping.

Sorry but this is a load of rubbish..... this is my 23rd season at the club as a season ticket holder and the statement " Its not our club anymore" is a load of tosh.

When was it ever our club?

Also people say QPR is no longer a family club... when was it a family club in the first place?

Affinity between players? Football has moved on, its not just QPR it is all football clubs... move on boys and girls otherwise you will get left behind..... In any case how much affinity did the players ever have with the fans? to the vast majority not a great deal.

Clapping? If I was a player would I clap after hearing boos week in week out..... our choice to boo and their choice not to clap. How about we support them and they clap, and we win by scoring goals? Could this actually happen, maybe but we will never know as all QPR fans now do is moan moan and more moan.

Easy to moan and critise but can you actually back up your moans??

PS Look what you have made me do now..... I am now Bl00dy moaning!!!! :surrender:
