  • What is Harrys logic?

I havent posted on here in a long time, but its starting to get very frustrating this season. I really hope that I get proved wrong today, but once again the team selection baffles me. We have quality all over the squad, and if we pick a side to our full strength, we are a team to fear in anyones book in this division. Players like Johnson, Phillips, SWP, Traore, Onouha would get into pretty much any side in this divsion in my opinion.

Leaving these players out is not working, and it is clear that we are not scoring goals. Harry himself has said it, that we need to score more goals - so why leave Phillips on the bench? hes one of the only other attacking threats we have, and has been on form. I don't understand it whatsoever. Any side in this league would be starting Phillips and Johnson, it makes no sense to me whatsoever that we are not scoring goals, yet we continue to leave them benched. Anyone make any sense of it? Out of our midfield, clearly the ones starting are not goal scorers, and there is no pace - so again we are just relying on Austin. Are we trying to sign another proven goalscorer for them to sit on the bench too?

Surely we should be starting games positively and reverting to 4-5-1 to keep the lead later in the game, not the other way round.

Hope Harry proves me wrong, but seen the same story so many times recently, I don't see what the difference will be today

Harry's always loved quick wingers and had that mentality to play attacking football! Its completely baffling what hes doing atm. I completely agree that with the players you mentioned w e should be going for it and putting teams on the back foot.

Has anyone actually asked Harry what he is doing?

Journalists these days are a joke.

There is no logic for playing one up front. Leicester have 2 up front and Burnley the same and still Redknapp thinks one up front and a midfield full of non scoring players. We need 2 up and start winning games instead of trying not to get beaten.

It's quite possible that those on the bench aren't fully fit. We just don't know.

If they are not fit what are they doing on the bench and why loan hitchcock out if that is the case??

How do I know? I'm just pointing out that none of us are in possession of the full facts. And I did say not fully fit.

maybe he wants to bring them on at the end when the opposition players are tired to take em out

At the end of the day the manager decides who plays and who is on the bench and also who is loaned out. Buck stops with Redknapp and look around us in the table two teams with two forwards who score. And they are facts and how anyone can think that one up and a load of unthreating midfielders is the way to promotion!
