I think it shows that TF has done some homework on it and not just thought if we build a 40,000 seater stadium, im sure loads of people will turn up. I still cant see us selling more than 3 quarters of the stadium but this article has given me more confidence.

Not to mention, im sure TF knows a hell of lot more than me and what do i know??????

But looking forward to our new stadium!!

Sunderland played MANCHESTER UNITED in the SEMI FINAL of the league cup the other night & only sold 31k out of a 48k capacity.

They can't of had many bigger games than that and they only sell 65% of the seats ........

Build it and they will come, doesn't work ALL the time, wonder what the Hammers matchday experience will be like in the Olympic stadium against Bournemouth on a wet november tuesday night.

For us that would mean around 29k."

Going over old ground I know, but who exactly are these 25k extra people going to be that mysteriously turn up and fill our new ground? Surely if they're Rangers they'd be helping sell out our current 18k stadium?

I'm not being archaic and rejecting the accepting of a new ground, as much as I love LR and would love to stay there, I can see why there is a need to move to progress as a club long term, but 40k is way too big a leap for us & might satisfy the needs of a music venue, but certainly doesn't meet Queens Park Rangers FC's requirements in a ground. 30k absolute tops, even then it would be a tad big IMO - 25k with a view to expand in the future would be perfect.

Nothing against utilising the stadium for additional revenue when we aren't playing there (ie music concerts etc), that's great, but I think we, QPR, and our needs / requirements should be dictating the size of the stadium that can then be used for alternative uses, not vice versa, or we risk looking like Coventry did in their oversized stadium.
