I don't actually think Hoilett is even a winger! Better played in behind Austin and picking the ball up in central areas..

He's actually quite good on the wing, he brings the ball forward, goes past people and can take them on. BUT its the constant fluffing of shots, its like he aims for people instead of the goal. If can learn or maybe told to cross the ball then he could be a lot better player IMO.SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

I don't think you should be called a winger if you can't cross. Players like SWP and sooooo many other 'wingers' can take people on. Run down the line, do all the work, but when it comes to a cross it goes along the ground. If you can't cross into the box then you shouldn't be playing there.'The problem with quotes on the internet is you don't know if they are authentic' - Abraham Lincoln

Hoilett is so frustrating because he's got the ability to beat a player, if he could just cross a ball or pick the right pass we'd be in business.
Having vision is a real ability though and if you ain't got it its hard to learn. I'd sell hoillet and get him off our wage bill. Reinvest in someone who's a little bit more raw but with potential.

So instead of telling the wingers to cross more Harry just sat em on the bench. It looked strange at first but the team settled and actually the attacking play looked far better to me.
There was more purpose and direction in the final third, Charlie got more supply and some good chances, there was more team play too, instead of individuals trying to score solo goals.
Should keep the same team for the next few games and give em a run to see if they can do it again - not as if the goals were coming before so it would be mad to change it.
Also have Traore as first sub, he earned it with the desire he showed for his goal, the way he burst through was like his life depended on it, difficult shot to get away but he took it well.

Should get the width from the full backs cos the wingers aint providing it. That is the only thing I would change from the weekend - get Ekotto and Simpson overlapping even more - theres goals in that.
