It's just that there might be a time where things are bad again, we'll all be looking back at times like this and think we could have done with that money, you just never know in football?

To be fair, I'm not sure many people would want to take a "1000% pay cut"....

      Great Harry quote!

Does that mean you would owe the employer money?

Because for one we probably wouldn't get a lot of the players we did as we are not a decent move for most players (apart from financially) I'm sorry to say.

And two because when you have someone like Philip Beard sanctioning contracts & signing the cheques with very very little football knowledge & knowing what people are worth you're always going to have this scenario. That's why we needed a director of football over seeing transfers IMO who knows players history, value, sell on worth, injury records etc etc.

That's true... just so frustrating being an R.

Let's say he was on 50k, QPR get relegated and now his on 25k. He will not be happy and as a result will want to find a new club who pays more.

If we wanted to keep him then we could hold talks and offer him more then 25k, it's not rocket science, so why was this not in place?

              Our club is losing money.
Because we were so desperate to get him, we paid anything to get him. Remember how made up we all were? He was the signing of transfer day. Joey's signing was done and dusted before transfer day. And the fella's stole a living since for all his graft.

Cisse has moved clubs twice on permanent deals since he left us.

Just signed for some obscure club 1st Jan.

SC Bastia are in the top division in France. Hardly obscure.
