  • Dean Parrett - wasted talent

This was the lad who some said would be as good as Beckham and went for a debated few million to spurs.

Constantly struggled on loan and fell by the wayside like bostock. Wiltshire (same u17 England team) had gone on to be an England regular.

Dean now gets a few games at Stevenage after 4 months with no club.

What a waste of potential - I know a few reasons why but it shows what can happen to a potentially great player that thinks they've made it before they even started.

    Youngsters be warned!

At the time they where a few of them with the attitude of QPR are to small for them, I remember the young keeper O'Brien went to Pompey.
    Kept the faith!

          Should have stayed at QPR.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Its the reason why id always say stay where you are, moving to a top 5/6 club in this country at 16/17/18 is a massive gamble because you simply wont get the same game time, and you will fall by the wayside, you have mentioned to players i could give you 52 names over the past 10 years or so who have had greatness thrust upon them at early ages moved to a big club and are now nowhere in the game.

Players like Bostock, Parrett, are the reason why england will never win a major tournament..they would rather follow the cash than play the games. Scott sinclair is the best example of this would rather lose the best years of his playing career sitting on his backside at man city picking up a fat cheque than playing for a smaller team on less money. Salary caps or low basic wages with appearance based top ups is the way forward

Be waste of time mate because they would mean nothing to you, just saying there are loads of young talented players who have been labelled the new this or the new that , that have moved to so called better and bigger clubs to progress there carer and have fallen away , dropped down the leagues and out of football altogether.

I don't disagree but think it's a bit harsh laying it all them - you can't entirely blame them for following their dreams when the offer comes in from a big club. The system that allows them to do so is also wrong.

It is the system that is wrong. No one is going to turn down the type of cash these kids are being offered. Sky and the premier league have ruined the english game. Why are there no english players playing in spain . italy, or germany..supposedly they are good enough..one reason cash!

Not that he's done badly but I feel Rahe Sterling should of played 100 games for QPR before leaving. Would of been a bigger name then he is now. Zaha is a good example of showing people his class. Every club in this league would loan him tomorrow
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

i agree that it would not have done sterling harn staying a bit longer but he has done the business, loads of appearances for Liverpool , prem goals and England Caps . Well done son

He is about the size of a small planet himself now. Whilst plying his trade for Billericay Town.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
