Well he's available for Saturday so lets see..
Although he was called back before the Everton match and I thought that would have been perfect for him.SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

Hear what your saying but were not free scoring and may only get one chance away from home so if it falls it needs to be taken. If he does play good luck to him nice to have abit of homegrown!!!

Originally posted by Ricky View Postas stated in another thread, it is so refreshing that everyone has completely written Benayoun off after making a couple of starts after not playing for what seems like a year.
Also great to see that Diakite is classed as a waste of space after being given ZERO chances this season. Not sure what the whole story is with him and doubt anyone on here fully knows, but ridiculous to call him a waste of space.
Unfortuantely sums up a small minority of our supporters who seem to think as we were in the premiership last season, we should win every single game we play in this league.

I've said I'd be prepared to play him once (rather like scraping the bottom of the barrel). I don't expect to win every game, but I do expect us to play way, way better than we mostly do. And to create more chances and score some f acking goals occasionally. Unreasonable, me..... Good points folk make regarding Hitchcock.
In a strange way, i love us winning when playing badly as it will inevitably click soon and the performances will pick up, so in the mean time collecting valuable points is perfect.
the strange thing is for me on paper generally when we line it looks quite an attacking line up. Austin Phillips Hoilett, Nico, Benayoun, O Neil all go down as forward players in my book.

We ain't far away, Ricky, but for an attacking line up we don't do that much attacking. Funny thing is we're only two players short- a good quality championship striker to complement Charlie and a attacking central midfielder who can carry the ball, create space, and get into the box. I'd be happy it the first were Hitchcock and the second Diakite. I know AJ can't be relied on to stay fit and know Carroll, Jenas, O'Neil et al aren't the attacking CM we need... Nico?? Perhaps if he has pace.... Two in and we should be OK.
