Deadline day business would be the worst scenario. We will end up with Carlton Cole and a couple of Spurs cast offs. I'm pretty sure the only reason Jenas is here is because Levy said if you want Townsend you'll have to take off us Jenas aswell. Shocking

        I'd rather Carlton Banks.

I just hope Harry doesn't make a panic buy.

IMO, waiting is not an option. Sort it out NOW!
If the second striker option had been sorted last summer when it should have been (as we cannot count AJ or BZ as strikers anymore) then we may well have been 5 or 6 points better off than we are now.
I understand in some purchases there is a chain effect but we must dictate in our purchases and not hang on as in recent windows. To be fair what have those last minute buys gained us recently, nil.

How can you "dictate a purchase"? The only way is to give the other party whatever they are asking for and I think we've been there before.........

That is exactly when the transfer business should have been done. Many of us knew, and stated so, that BZ and AJ were not going to play or score much this season and so far we have been proved correct.

Now we have to wait and see what scraps are left on or around 31st Jan to conclude business (although the loan market will be open until mid March).

QPR will end up with more panic buys/loans/frees like Chevanton and Oneywu.

I'm certain HR and TF, as well as other clubs are talking to agents, managers, etc about buying players but clubs are never willing to sell, so they wait until the last min when a silly amount is offered and are forced to sell. It's always been this way in January. So it's alright for fans to say we need to do the business now (and agree with their frustration), but it's just not possible because of other clubs. Which club wants to sell any of their 1st team players until its too good to refuse?

Exactly. Plus, anybody who is available and worth having will likely be courted by more than one club so might hold out to negotiate a better deal.

This starting to bug me now, people keep saying that AJ and BZ would be out more often than not, but you seem to forget they both still drawn wage regardless, and without being able to get rid of neither I don't see how HR had any choice but to take a gamble on thos 2 when no doubt they earn 100k plus between them, I reckon the plan was take a gamble on those 2, if no joy try stay in touch with top 2 til Jan then sign someone else, perhaps this is why we set up so defensively aswell

Perhaps he could have tried to pay off Zamora in the summer and not pulled the plug on Johnson's move to Palace (what exactly has Johnson done for QPR since Sept 1st). This way QPR could have saved around £2.5M in wages paid to these two since July.

                                I don't really agree.

We play a defensive style of football and yes playing 2 upfront might help encourage this but it is more the type of players we have in our squad. Our midfield is VASTLY overrated. Players like Henry, O'neil and Jenas are extremely poor players, where not 1 of them can pick a pass or at least play a forward pass. We play negative football because of the players that Harry has signed.
We all talk about lack of strikers but how many good balls have been put in the box? The gap between the midfield and attack is negative. I have seen so many poor games where the midfield are sometimes even inline with our defence. I blame the management team for this. I hoped Nico might be the answer but he clearly doesn't look fit and we're still struggling with any player that can start pulling the strings and picking a pass. Austin is not a hold up player so I'd rather see 4 4 2 at home on a tight pitch than watch some of our ****e rs playing crab football in the middle.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
