  • Harry boy getting off too lightly?

Anyone else not think old Harry boy is getting off too lightly recently and especially after the Everton display with our full 1st team!

It may be just me but he seems to have a bit too much of the 'untouchable god like' feeling around the place.
Like Rangers would be too scared to sack him cos its Harry Redknapp? - Reality is, its been mediocre and his getting away with a lot...

1 - So many chances to buy a striker and all he bought was midfielders and old players when I thought we were buying young hungry players from now on? e.g. Matty Phillips!

2 - Not using the young players we have who have quality! - Max Ehmer, came on once, didn't do himself any hard when we needed a CB.. next thing shipped out on loan and we buy another 35 y/o... Hitchcock - Scores a winner! doesn't get another look in! Shipped out on loan, scores 3 in 6 (in league 1) - only the league below us! - He gets called back from loan only to not even make the squad against Everton when he should of played!
Petrasso - On loan at Oldham, turned Daniel Agger on sixpence yesterday and nearly scored! Not even a sniff for him as a young hungry forward either!

I don't get Harry's thinking sometimes - and we wont get out the championship playing so much tika-taka football as we now do!
Swansea, just about scrapped it via play-offs, which is where we will finish I reckon.

I'd like to see the young boys we have on our books all on loan in league 1 given a go! and when Harry leaves at the end of the season, id like to see a young manager in to be honest - Were apparently a club who wants our academy to thrive - So where are the chances for them!

Careful mate. Such statements got me banned from the local swimming baths.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Getting off? Leave off mate he's been hammered on here the last few weeks since we had a blip. That's why a poll was started & thankfully common sense prevailed & near on 90% want him to stay & finish the job.

As I said in another thread. Judge him in May. Believe it or not no one ever missed out on promotion in January.

What is it with all the doom mongers on here!!!.blah blah blah let's #### Harry off for only being 3rd in the league and completely restructuring our squad and getting rid of most of the dead weight we has last year!!

With strikers we.actually have 3 who prob receive near on 80 k week plus!!thats prob why our board are slightly reluctant to sanction another one!!!

Some good points and think he is a very over rated manager as any decent manager would not have gone into a 46 game championship season with one fully fit striker and two players who will never be fit again.

All correct, and the 90% result in the stay or go poll shows that most want him to stay, but the results in the 'How is he doing' poll show that the 90% is split into those fully supportive and those that are less happy with him but willing to stick with him.

The outliers on each side are the ones that tend to be most strident in their posts. Always the way.

You are assuming that there was a dearth of decent strikers that he could have signed? Or that he didn't actually try or want to sign another striker? The fact that AJ nearly went to Palace before being cancelled suggests that he was trying to get others in.

But no, you're right. He must just be a **** manager.

Over rated was the term used and considering what he has at his disposal think it is a fair enough to have. As for Johnson going to palace and us getting someone else do we actually know who this striker we were after was? Also why sign benayoun in december when we have a few average over the hill midfielders already!

At a guess would be in the top 2 or 3 in the division? Redknapp is a businessman who manages a football team. His reputation has been hyped up by the media who he feeds what they want to hear! The question is not whether we want rid of him but who is going to want and pay him what he wants? Struggle to find anyone at all.on either count!!
