Chevanton came on for 5 minutes, nearly scores a screamer and don't play again..
Hitchcock comes on.. scores a winner with first touch and don't play again..
Ehmer comes on for 5 minutes.. looked comfortable and strong and don't play or even make the bench again..
Onyewu has made the bench once or twice, never seen him.. the most pointless signing known and his a US international

Don't get it sometimes.. AT ALL

Oh top two now,not long ago you posted we will walk this league make your mind up,say what you see and you play young players if you are between a rock and a hard place
and HR has known that since last close season with the treatment table kids Johnson and Zamora.I have followed the rs for years and we have always given youth a
chance until recent years.Allen,Goddard,Ferdinand etc.How they going to get a chance when Redknapp plats Nico as forward because Hitchcock is on loan and the position we
      are lacking in is his.

Oh I know we will play a slow midfiled player up top great management but no doubt you will disagree with that because Hr can do know wrong.

Taking the gamble on kids - interesting one isn't it. As said above, it's the kind of thing to do when you have nothing to lose. If you take the risk when you are in our position and it back fires then who's the mug? That gamble against the possibility of it working out is odds against really.
Look at dear old wet spam - their kids are top of the league and apparently taking the league by storm - fat sam has a bit of a dilemma with a cup semi and league position to deal with so throws the kids to the lions in the FA Cup. A 5 nil battering at florist ensues ........what's it done for the kids?

Regardless of the state of BZ and AJ, we still had Chevanton to cover Austin. Gambling on giving a young player an occasional appearance where he may struggle or be out of his depth is just foolish. Better for his development to get him regular game time on loan. That's not just a Harry decision, it's what clubs do all the time, all over the world.

                  I agree with Bill above..

I don't see what we have to lose at the moment! Were playing poorly and got spanked 4-0 with our 1st team out who are supposed to be 'premier league quality'
West ham youngster thing is totally different, they played a team of them! All im saying is give a chance to Hitchcock, Ehmer and maybe even Petrasso after seeing him against Liverpool... We don't need or want a team of them!

What's the matter, can't handle people disagreeing with you?

You need to take a break from your one-man anti-Harry campaign and chill a bit. You sound like one bitter and twisted individual with nothing better to do than come on here and run him down.

As I said in another thread. Judge him in May. Believe it or not no one ever missed out on promotion in January.
                        Well said.

We are all (well many of us) getting restless and irritated by some of the transfers, loans and team selections etc, but sacking managers during mid season rarely achieves any kind of success. Look at how we did after sacking Magilton, Warnock and even Hughes (he should have gone after 7 or 8 games or not at all).

Derby sacked Clough, but he had assembled a decent squad that was set up to be good on the counter attack, hence their excellent away record. McLaren has come in and reaped the benefits of this and has seen his team climb the table (perhaps he has changed their home tactics slightly and given them more belief which is why they are also winning at home more often, but overall it is the team and tactics of the former manager.

How well did Blackburn, Bolton, Middlesbrough etc do last season after sacking their managers?

Hitchcock may well go back to Crewe (probably if we get another striker or two in the window).

No it will be good enough, because these fans who want Harry out are fickle. 1 win, best manager in world. 1 loss and needs to be sacked. If we got promoted, you won't hear nothing regarding getting rid of Harry. These same fans will change their signature to stuff like 'In Harry we trust' etc.

Would love to see one or two of our youngsters given a go from the bench. Can't be a worse shout than BZ surely?
