If a managers remit is immediate promotion, then you stick with tried and trusted players, there's no other way without risk.

Once we get promoted and stabilized then long term managerial planning comes in.

Playing a strong team at Everton goes towards helping team cohesion for the rest of the season.

If Harry can't get the players he wants in this transfer window it's not his fault.

With Chevanton gone and the possibility that we may not get anyone in the window, it makes perfect sense doesn't it? It does to me.

Of course Harry can do wrong, he is not perfect, nobody is. I'm just as frustrated by the boring football and lack of goals as anyone. I just don't like to see people whining or criticising him (or anyone else) based on pure speculation and without knowing all of the facts.

Judge him at the end of the season, or when it's obvious where we are going to finish.

What would we have to discuss if fans like myself are entirely happy and aren't allowed to voice an opinion on the current issues?

Oh, I'm sure we'd find something.

Wasn't trying to shut you up by the way. Sorry if it came across that way.

just for the record though.. I cant see that we would ever sack Harry - Can only ever see him, leaving for another job or resigning

You may be right. If he seriously messes up somehow or we are still not getting anywhere in 18 months time (when his contract is up) then maybe he will be gone. But other than that, I think he will be around for a long time.

It may be just me but he seems to have a bit too much of the 'untouchable god like' feeling around the place.
Like Rangers would be too scared to sack him cos its Harry Redknapp? - Reality is, its been mediocre and his getting away with a lot...

1 - So many chances to buy a striker and all he bought was midfielders and old players when I thought we were buying young hungry players from now on? e.g. Matty Phillips!

2 - Not using the young players we have who have quality! - Max Ehmer, came on once, didn't do himself any hard when we needed a CB.. next thing shipped out on loan and we buy another 35 y/o... Hitchcock - Scores a winner! doesn't get another look in! Shipped out on loan, scores 3 in 6 (in league 1) - only the league below us! - He gets called back from loan only to not even make the squad against Everton when he should of played!
Petrasso - On loan at Oldham, turned Daniel Agger on sixpence yesterday and nearly scored! Not even a sniff for him as a young hungry forward either!

I don't get Harry's thinking sometimes - and we wont get out the championship playing so much tika-taka football as we now do!
Swansea, just about scrapped it via play-offs, which is where we will finish I reckon.

I'd like to see the young boys we have on our books all on loan in league 1 given a go! and when Harry leaves at the end of the season, id like to see a young manager in to be honest - Were apparently a club who wants our academy to thrive - So where are the chances for them!
Sorry but how do you know these players have the required quality? People are so desperate to field a "young team" that no one seems to actually worry if the players are good enough or not. Il trust Harrys judgement on this above anyones on this site. Maybe the worst thing for these young lads is to throw them into things when the crowd are obn edge and we have people slagging off every tom Richard and harry at the club.

And Ehmer extends his loan for another month, and with our striker situation Hitchcock should never have gone on loan in the first place.

How do we know what its like unless we actually try? We know what a team of experience will give.. But what will a few homegrown talents give? Hunger for one.

                          In your opinion.

Why not? We had Chevanton to cover. Otherwise he would just be another bench-warmer along with Bobby and AJ. Not good for a young player's development.

You tend to gamble on younger olayers when you have nothing to lose and are struggling mid table or less. We are doing excellent and are one point away from automatics. So imagine the uproar and harry out shouts from weare, bill and rebel etc if harry started playing ehmer and hitchcock and we dropped down the table. What he is doing at the moment is not attractive by any means (lets play attractive football next season against chelsea at home, lets et up first and foremost), but contrary to a lot of opinions its working exactly to plan. We will be top two season end, and thats a dead cert imho.

We had Chevaton used him for 5 mins, the other two well not even bench warmers more like treatment table warmers and its not as if he didn't know
                                they were injury prone
