True and in an ideal world I'd take both but which TYPE of striker do we need more . In my opinion we need a long kind of player more due to the constant running and harassing and generally being a pain in the #### for defenders . We need someone with pace who is direct and aggressive . For me jelavic is like niko , absolute class if given the time and service but may struggle with work rate etc

Don't know and would be happy with either one. Actually don't remember when Austin or Johnson received a direct pass and could utilize their pace?

Exactly . We need someone to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and drive the attack but like you say would welcome either with open arms . Just think we need a long type more than a jelavic type

Long has done it in the premier and championship!!! Proven goalscorer!! Jelavic as.much as I'd like him at qpr.has.only.really done it in the spl!!! Not the same.standard!!! International class is a.exageration!!
Long.at.26 is.a.better investment and the type.of player we.need.more!! Less.of a.gamble and know what your getting!!

Jelavic has actually a better goals-per-game in the Premier League ratio than Long and is going to Brazil for the World Cup later in the summer but I take your point and would be delighted if he signed. But for me, I'd take Jellt 1st :D

He'll end up at Hull or another prem team. No chance he's coming.

Hull were desperate for him last window. And his goals aint what hes about. Its his all round play, charlie scores the goals for us, he would help him to so many more.

I always use my phone for internet as laptop knackered and the touchscreen keyboard plus my retarded fingers make me add full stops too. I have to delete a lot of full stops and spelling errors.

Totally agree mate . Him and charlie would be a nightmare for defences

I would prefer him to any of the names that have been bandied about, the only player i would prefer over him would be defoe mate. Long would be an amazing signing for our team and our style of play, or lack of it should i say. Wont happen though, its too obvious/good.

Lets face it either would be amazing. Not counting my chickens on either though. Hull reportedly as mad-keen on Long as ever. I know his goals ratio isn't that amazing but I love the way he never gives up on anything - like a classy Jamie Mackie. How many goals has he scored because he has bothered to chase back a seemingly safe back-pass and harassed the keeper or defender into a howler? Great one like that against Chelsea I think.

Well you never know we started the season with 2, and won the game on wed by reverting to 2
