If he's stalling on a contract or doesn't want to play at WBA anymore they might as well get a few quid rather than letting him walk for nothing in the summer , can imagine harry is quite a decent gaffer to work for and he'd get a very good wedge with a higher than average chance of playing in the prem again come august . When you think about it it's not that crazy . Would have thought at least two or three prem clubs would be interested though just depends how much they wanna pay him cos as we all know most players these days follow the pound note
He had one good season out of seven for Reading scoring 23 goals in 45 appearances.
Since then, he's made 81 appearances, 80 for Brom and only scored 19 goals.
8 goals is the most he's managed to score in a season for Brom.
I wouldn't sign him with your money!
I'd have him for the right money, West Brom paid 4.5 mil for him so if they were asking for anymore than that I'd say no thanks. Great little player even though his scoring record doesn't look great. Think him and Austin would be great tbh.
Glad the board aint mugs and offering realistic money for him as his contract runs out in June. Couldn't believe some of the figures stated on here some would pay. Clueless
I'd take long over.jelavic all day!! Younger and.more.consistent!! Would be surprised.if a.premium club don't snap.Him up!!
Can't agree with that as I see Jelavic as a class International striker who should be in his prime. Long is good and would be a good signing, but IMO he aint on the same level.
