Wigan striker Marlon King has been linked with a loan move to Championship side Sheffield United

Surely we should get amongst the mix.
He is excactly the type of player we need.
Helguson isn't do it and I don't see Simpson playing a lone striker or up with tarrabt working. Simpson needs a big man to work off someone like Kings flick on's.

Can we just not compete with the so called bigger clubs ie sheff united?

Keep slating him all you like mate, but 3 goals in 5 games is a pretty good return for such a poor striker. Glad we sold him as our strikers are doing so much better. I said the decission would cost us, and so far...what d'ya know...I'm right.

King would be a very good player for us and just the type of player we have been clearly lacking. Benny as your bringing up blackstock I loved watching his miss timed header that tickled in but it wasn't as funny as watching his effort that he missed from 4 yards. Cost the team 3 pts, watch the highlights on bbci player if you don't believe me.

3 goals in 5 games though. I would kill for Heider to score such a mis-timed header...unfortunately, he's not even capable of a lucky strike at the moment.

If we go by that logic then Aygemang is world class going on early goals. He won't score more than 15 and I am sticking to that. He scored a flukey goal on sat and missed some good chances. Ok I deleted that message as I didn't want a response but you have got me at it. 95% of your post I actually agree on its just a shame that ugly topic of blackstock has to rise it's head once again.

I wouldn't have mentioned it if you hadn't in fairness.

But as I say...lucky or not, he still had more goals than all of our strikers put together. The thing that makes me laugh about your arguement is that it all stems to his ability with the ball at his feet...something that time and time again, i've also commented on being a weakness of his yet you seem to make out I think he's a God. All I'm stating are facts. He was our top scorer twice out of 3 seasons and is showing that he is capable of getting goals yet again. He would have easilly made it 3 out of 4 if we'd kept him this season (not a fact, but something I'm 100% certain of) and as a finisher is better than any of the forwards we have.

I'll end the debate there as I can't be bothered with continuing it, but your stubborness aside, deep down you know I'm right and as someone who claims to know so much about the game, I hope that you also believe we'd have a few more points on the board than we do right now had we kept hold of him.
