Really good piece of news and a great upgrade for the club.

I hope those who dislike the chairman can congratulate him on coming up with the goods. You know who you are
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Acting as his character dictates you mean ? yer i for one am not surprised that he is focused on his prize. He is an astute businessman apparently so when he sees the opportunity to make millions with a bit of a gamble he will be on it like a dog sniffing an arseole. Like i said i thought the planning permission was granted weeks ago.

this deal is a 200 year lease...TF has done this for the academy etc as he has said over and over....it is not a land deal....if he was just about land deals he would keep it simple and do land deals most likely in india,
have you seen land price inflation in india....about 100 times the value in 7 years....why would the board want the extra complication of owning a footy club just to pull off land deals ...makes no sense im afraid v

Actually the lease is not going to be signed over until the development is completed...is that normal in developments such as these? Plenty of time for the local objectors still to pull up Ealing council on the land "gift" and maybe even force them to put the land up for sale again. Local objections have not been dealt with as of yet. In my opinion 71 they are more interested in making millions from this development and all it entails than what they are about our club. We are not the priority of this board. But most importantly ..I dont want the club to move from Loftus Rd :-)

I am not happy. I want at least half a dozen training grounds.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

I'm ecstatic Davey :-) Cant wait to pick up my plastic flag once i go through the turnstiles and sit there with plenty of space around me cheering on the mighty Fulham...sorry the mighty rangers.

I really can't understand anyone not seeing this as good news.

I also can't understand how the building of a new training ground and academy is part of some get rich quick scheme.

Come on Vblock, isn't it about time you packed in this anti-Fernandes obsession you have?

This is your problem i think Richard. I fully accept that a lot of fans will be happy to move and i respect their view that it is a good thing. I dont have that view and that somehow sticks in your craw :-) Just accept that some fans do not want to move from Loftus Rd no matter how you or Fernandes sells it. I dont want a new rangers and i find the boards plan of manufacturing all these fans from tourists and fans of other clubs as distasteful. Dont want to be plastic like Fulham or Chelsea and have always taken pride in the fact that we are not like them. Not worth selling the soul of the club for a bigger stadium and to play in some rubbish non competitive league like the Premiership. We are a small club with a small loyal fanbase...long may that continue.
